Tucked away in Kochi Prefecture, it’s a perfect spot for slowing down and reconnecting with the simple joy of being outside. I hopped on a traditional yakata-bune (roofed boat) called Shimanto no Ao. Floating gently down the river, I watched the scenery unfold—green mountains, calm water, and wide open skies. It was quiet, still, and absolutely beautiful.
