Kaohsiung Arena, full name Kaohsiung City Modern Sports Complex, started construction in August 2004 in a BOT mode and was opened on September 27, 2008 by then-mayor Chen Ju and the president of the World Sports Federation. The base is about 17,000 pings, with a ceiling height of 42 meters and six floors, with a total of 15,000 fixed seats.
