#aprilblooms I dropped by Koenji Hikawa Shrine this spring, and although it’s a compact little spot near the station, it was buzzing with visitors! It has this peaceful, cozy vibe — perfect for a quick spiritual break during a city stroll. The hanachozu (flower-filled water basin) was especially pretty, adding a colorful touch to the shrine’s atmosphere. Even though it’s small, there’s something really charming about this place. Locals clearly love it — I saw a steady stream of people coming to pray and snap a few pics. It’s a lovely stop if you’re in the Koenji area, especially during springtime.
