Krok Eik Da Waterfall, Saraburi Province
The trail to the waterfall spans 8 kilometers and takes approximately 8 hours to complete (for those who walk leisurely, take photos, and rest along the way, as it’s often their first forest trek 😅).
Waterfall levels 1-5 are relatively easy to walk through, not too steep. However, levels 6-7 become steeper, requiring climbing and rope-assisted ascents.
At level 7, you’ll need to queue for photos. On the way down from levels 7-6, the path is very steep and slippery with lots of rocks. Be cautious to avoid twisting your ankle and hold onto the ropes firmly, as the descent route differs from the ascent.
Tips:
- Booking in advance is highly recommended. Walk-ins are possible but uncertain. On weekdays, visiting in the morning is usually less crowded compared to weekends.
✅ Booking can be made via the Facebook page: "Chom Agricultural Conservation Tourism Community Enterprise" (Registration fee: 300 THB per person).
Arrive before 10:00 AM; the earlier, the better to be among the first groups.
✅ There are restaurants and shops available to stock up before heading up.
✅ Bring 2-3 bottles of water for the hike.
✅ Restrooms and shower facilities are available.
✅ If you don’t have proper shoes, you can purchase anti-slip trekking shoes at the registration area for 100 THB per pair. Trekking poles are also highly recommended.
✅ Waterproof phone pouches are useful.
✅ Signal reception is limited in the area.
