Bangkok, Thailand is a world-famous tourist resort city. Every day, thousands of tourists come to Bangkok for sightseeing and vacation. Chinatown in the old city of Bangkok gathers many Chinese cultural temple attractions. This time we will introduce a Chinese ancient temple attraction located in Chinatown: Guangdong Temple (ศาลเจ้ากวางตุ้ง เจ้าแม่กวนอิม พระยูไล) (สมาคมกว๋องสิวประเทศไทย). Free to visit, take photos and pray, no need to buy tickets. You need to take off your shoes when entering the temple building. The temple is close to the tourist shipping terminal and bus station, and transportation is very convenient. The temple was built by the first generation of Chinese immigrants who came to Bangkok. It has gone through several generations and has a history of a hundred years. It is a veritable historical temple. Prayers in the temple are very effective, and residents in Chinatown come here to pray. The temple building is tall and majestic, and the exterior decorative structure is full of the Chinese cultural and artistic style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Bangkok, Thailand is a world-famous tourist resort city. Every day, thousands of tourists come to Bangkok for sightseeing and vacation. There are many tourist attractions and shopping malls in Chinatown, the old town in the center of Bangkok. This time I will introduce a one-day tour itinerary in the old town. All attractions within the itinerary are free to visit and take photos📸, no tickets are required. You need to take off your shoes when entering the main temple building.
Itinerary introduction: Take the MRT to Wat Mangkon วัดมังกร. After getting off the station, turn left and enter the first attraction: Wat Kan Matuyaram วัดกันมาตุยาราม. The temple was built during the reign of King Rama IV and has a history of hundreds of years. It is a veritable historical monument. As you enter the temple, you will see a pagoda that resembles the Dhamma Stupa in India. To the right of the pagoda is a traditional lobby. A bouquet of crow leaves and swan tails. There are square stone railings on all eight sides. There is a door facing east in front. There is Amitabha Mahamuni Buddha. The meditation posture is the main Buddha image. The photo taking 📸 is very good. After visiting this attraction, walk 500 meters to another Chinese cultural temple attraction: Guangdong Temple (ศาลเจ้ากวางตุ้ง เจ้าแม่กวนอิม พระยูไล). The historic guild hall temple built in 1880 retains many architectural styles and cultures from the early days of Chinese culture. Worth a visit. The temple building is tall and majestic, and the exterior decoration structure is exquisite, making it very photogenic. After visiting this attraction, walk forward and you will reach the famous landmark temple attraction in Bangkok's Chinatown: Wat Mangkon Kamalawat (Wat Leng Noei Yi)วัดมังกรกมลาวาส (วัดเล่งเน่ยยี่) Long Lian Temple. The temple was built in 1871 and was named Wat Mangkon Kamalawat by King Rama VI. The gate is inscribed with Long Lian Zen Temple. There is a Sixth Patriarch Hall in the temple. The prayer for blessings at Long Lian Temple is very effective. Many people come here from far away to pray for blessings. The fee for each prayer is 100 baht. The entire temple is designed in the Chinese cultural and artistic style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties a hundred years ago. It is simple and elegant, exquisite and gorgeous, and it is definitely a great place to take photos. After visiting and praying here, walk 500 meters to the famous shopping mall in Chinatown: I'm Chinatown แอมไชน่าทาวน์. This is a food mall with many Michelin restaurants and national chain restaurants where you can dine and rest. End of the day's journey.
