Ikebukuro: I believe that newcomers to Tokyo might be wondering where to stay in Tokyo. Today, we'd like to recommend the Ikebukuro area. After staying there, we can say that this area is very good! 📌 First point: This area has direct buses or trains to popular tourist attractions outside of Tokyo, such as Kawaguchiko, Disneyland/DisneySea, Kamakura, or even convenient travel to and from Narita Airport. No need to change trains or buses. 🚌 : Bus to Kawaguchiko : Seibu bus costs around 2,000 yen, stops near Sunshine City. 🚎 : Bus to Disneyland/DisneySea: 1,000 yen. 🚞 : Train to Kamakura: Shonan-Shinjuku line, around 1,000 yen. 🚗 : Bus to the airport: around 2,000 yen (The bus to Disney and the airport stops at the same place, at Ikebukuro Nishi-guchi Park.) 🚟 : The train travels within the city is also convenient, with a direct line to Tokyo Tower, Asakusa, Ueno, Shinjuku, Shibuya, and Ginza. 📌 Second: In the youth district, there is the Sunshine City building for a lot of activities, including an aquarium, observation desk, and a gashapon machine. There are also famous restaurants in the area, making shopping convenient. 📌 Third: Most accommodations are inexpensive. My friend and I stayed at House Ikebukuro for 6 nights, which cost around 6,000 baht per person. The place was nice and clean, and it comfortably accommodated 3 people. Other accommodations we'd looked at were also reasonably priced. The area we stayed in wasn't scary. Walk straight into Ikebukuro Station, heading west, and take Exit C1. The station is divided into different directions, making it quite easy to walk. P.S. I didn't take any photos inside the station because I was in a rush every morning, lol. I booked for the 3:00 PM show, the last show of the day. I booked through Trip for 1,140 baht. We received a QR code that I could scan to enter the event. I arrived about an hour early. We walked around, took photos, and shopped. There were so many cute items for sale. If you want to transform into a witch or wizard, you can buy them here. And if you want to eat, there's a restaurant called Frog Cafe. Once you're there, don't forget to register. You'll receive a QR code for the activities inside and you can download videos. The registration process is easy and the steps are clearly explained. After opening the Hogwarts doors, you'll be greeted by the familiar Great Hall, with soaring ceilings and dining tables for all four houses. During our visit, they were holding a Goblet of Fire exhibition. There's a real revolving staircase area, which features activities, and your photos will appear in motion in a picture frame on the staircase. You can download the video clip as a souvenir. The Quidditch Filming Experience zone is another zone worth waiting in line for. You can play as characters from Harry Potter, reenacting Quidditch cheering scenes, and you can download the video clip to keep. The Ministry of Magic is incredibly impressive. This zone features activities and downloadable videos, including a journey through the Ministry of Magic using flume powder.
