THE GLORIOUS NYMPHENBURG PALACE, MUNICH.
This glorious Baroque and Rococo palace, the largest in Germany, grew in size and scope over more than 200 years. Begun in 1662 by the Italian architect Agostino Barelli, it was completed by his successor, Enrico Zuccalli.
It represents a tremendous high point of Italian cultural influence, in what is undoubtedly Germany's most Italian city.
Within the original building, now the central axis of the palace complex, is the magnificent Steinerner Saal (Great hall), extending over two floors and richly decorated with stucco and grandiose frescoes by masters such as François Cuvilliés the Elder and Johann Baptist Zimmermann.
One of the surrounding royal chambers houses Ludwig I's famous Schönheitsgalerie (Gallery of Beauties), portraits of women who caught his roving eye. The palace park is laid out in formal French style, with low hedges and gravel walks extending into woodland. Among the ancient trees are three fascinating pavilions, including the Amalienburg hunting lodge by François Cuvilliés.

THE VACATIONER!
Schloss Nymphenburg Palace in Munich
Travelled dates btw 8-16 July 2023. There are many old towns, ruined Castle, Palace and Car Museums to visit in Germany. Most interesting places for me are: Heidelberg, Baden Baden and Munich. There is a Must visit palace in Munich not to miss, Schloss Nymphenburg Palace. The palace is huge and would need at least a day to take a slow relaxing walk to enjoy the entire place. Took a hop-on-off city tour bus which had brought us there within 20-30 mins.

One of the largest Palaces in Germany
You have to go early to visit this huge palace to avoid the crowds. It is about a good 10 min walk from the nearest train station. While walking towards the palace, you will come across a huge lake with lots of swans and ducks. The palace is huge and you may spent a good 2 hours touring the whole place.
The entrance fee is around euro 10. There is also souvenir shop selling some palace china ware.

Built as a summer residence for the Wittelsbach family, Schloss Nymphenburg is an elegant Baroque palace surrounded by beautiful gardens.
The enormous garden surrounding the Palace, which spreads over 200 hectares (490 acres), has been laid out in different design according to fashions over the years. A visit to this castle must include the magnificent "Great Hall" redesigned in the Rococo style. Today another of the main attractions is the "Gallery of Beauties", with its portraits painted from 1827 to 1850 for King Ludwig I by Joseph Stieler. The tour of Nymphenburg Palace also includes the bedroom where King Ludwig II of Bavaria was born on 25 August 1845.

Nymphenburg Palace in Munich, Germany is really a very beautiful palace, not very big, the main building is only one floor, but his hall is really beautiful, the ticket is next to the side door, just a carriage exhibition hall can visit You can see the gorgeousness of the carriage at that time. After you buy the ticket, you can go to the main building to check the ticket and go upstairs. Then you can visit. This is a palace. Every room is beautiful. A mural on the roof is perfect. Especially the one in the hall, it is worth it for it.

Munich - The Splendid Nymphenburg Palace
If you visit Munich, you should take half a day to explore Nymphenburg Palace. It's easily accessible from the city center by public transport like trams, taking about 20 to 30 minutes. Nymphenburg Palace was built by the Bavarian Wittelsbach family starting in 1664. Before entering the palace, you'll walk along a tree-lined path with a large pond in the center, where swans and ducks swim freely. As you proceed, you'll reach the main hall where you can buy tickets and beautiful souvenirs. I really liked their souvenir designs and bought some for friends. You can also browse around.
In Nymphenburg Palace, I visited the following places:
- The main hall of the palace, which features a grand hall adorned in white and gold. Although it can't compare to other grand palaces, the colorful wall paintings make it feel very stylish and timeless. Additionally, there's a Gallery of Beauties and the Queen's quarters, both worth seeing.
- Due to the rain, we first visited the Carriage Museum, which showcases royal carriages and various decorations. It was my first time seeing royal carriages, and they were truly luxurious and grand, very different from ordinary carriages. However, I preferred the design of the winter sleds, which were very intricate.
- Finally, when the weather cleared up, we walked through the palace gardens. The garden is quite large with fountains, and you can pay for a boat ride on the lake. But I was more interested in visiting a pavilion called The Pagodenburg Pavilion. According to the guide, it's designed like a Chinese pagoda, with the first floor decorated with Dutch blue tiles and the second floor with Chinese painted screens. The local guide mentioned that in the past, traveling to Eastern countries was only possible by sea, so having Eastern decorations at home was very precious and a way for the wealthy to show off.
A tip for everyone: be careful while walking in the garden as you might step on bird droppings scattered around :)

Munich: Explore Bavaria's Capital and Savor German Dark Beer!🍻
Munich is one of Germany's major economic, cultural, technological, and transportation hubs. It boasts a thriving manufacturing, software, and service industry, with the headquarters of companies like BMW, Siemens, and Allianz located here. It is also Germany's second-largest financial center. At the same time, it is a city rich in history and culture, retaining the quaint charm of the former capital of the Kingdom of Bavaria with numerous Baroque and Gothic buildings. 🍻🏙️
Marienplatz
Marienplatz, located in the heart of the old town, is the largest and most important square in Munich, often referred to as the heart of the city. Besides the famous New Town Hall (Neues Rathaus), nearby attractions include the Old Town Hall (Altes Rathaus), the Church of Our Lady (Frauenkirche), and St. Peter's Church (Peterskirche). A must-visit spot for a one-stop sightseeing experience. 📸🏰
Nymphenburg Palace
Nymphenburg Palace (Schloss Nymphenburg), situated in the northwest suburb of Munich, is grand and symmetrical, reflecting the mainstream architectural aesthetics of its time. Behind the palace is a Baroque-style royal garden, featuring Amalienburg, the Badenburg, and the Pagodenburg. 🌸🏞️
Frauenkirche
The Frauenkirche, located west of Marienplatz, is the Catholic cathedral and the most important city landmark. The interior of the church is quite simple and unadorned, making it worthwhile to focus on the exterior architecture. If time permits, climb to the top of the church tower for a panoramic view of Munich. 🔭🏙️

Beautiful historic palace situated in western Munich - the grounds are massive, while the palance itself is extraordinary. In short, definitely worth the price and visit. Can easily spend 1-2h in the palace itself while another 1-2h walking around the grounds, through the various ponds, streams, and structures around. Lots of historical info through each of the palace rooms. Minor unfortunate thing are some of the additional buildings are an extra cost, so difficult to determine whether worth it.

Just immersed myself in the grandeur of Nymphenburg Palace in Munich! 🏰✨ The €12 entrance fee was a small price for the royal experience it offered. #NymphenburgElegance #MunichPalaceCharm
The palace's Baroque architecture is breathtaking. The lavish details, expansive gardens, and stunning fountains create a regal atmosphere. Each room tells a story of Bavarian history, making it a true cultural treasure. 🌳👑
Exploring the opulent rooms, like the Amalienburg hunting lodge and the grand Hall of Mirrors, felt like stepping into a period drama. The intricate tapestries, gilded furniture, and dazzling chandeliers are a testament to the Bavarian royalty's refined taste. 🎭👸
The vast park surrounding the palace is a green paradise. The Badenburg Pavilion and the Pagodenburg, nestled within the gardens, add a whimsical touch to the royal retreat. 🌷🏞️
After the palace, a walk to the nearby Nymphenburg Porcelain Manufactory is a cultural continuation. It's fascinating to see the craftsmanship behind Bavaria's renowned porcelain art. 🍶🎨
The Hirschgarten, Munich's largest beer garden, is just a short distance away. It's a perfect spot to unwind with a traditional Bavarian brew and enjoy the serene surroundings. 🍻🌳
For a post-palace treat, a visit to the Palmenhaus im Nymphenburger Schlosspark is recommended. This historic greenhouse, surrounded by exotic plants, is an oasis of tranquility. 🌿🌺
Whether you're a history buff, an architecture admirer, or just seeking royal splendor, Nymphenburg Palace is a must-visit. The entrance fee, cultural richness, and nearby attractions make it a highlight in Munich's royal tapestry! #PalatialMarvel #MunichRoyalRetreat

I braved the cold and took a walk on the ice-covered river. The crisp air and sparkling ice made for a picturesque scene.

is Nymphenburg in Wittelsbach. It is gorgeous and elegantly decorated. The 200-hectare garden is no worse than other European palaces.
Nymphenburg is a gift from Prince Ferdinand Maria to his wife, thanks to her son who gave birth to the kingdom. It took 200 years before and after its expansion. Although the palace did not reach the size of the French King Louis XIV, it is certainly the largest of the kind in Germany. The most famous lady gallery in the south is famous. At the beginning of the 18th century, the electorate Max expanded his mother's simple country house into a luxurious palace. Although it suffered from the Second World War

We drove directly to Nymphenburg on the outskirts of Munich and slept on the plane for a night. The most healing place was of course the quiet and beautiful garden. Nymphenburg is a gift from Prince Ferdinand Maria to his wife. Thanks to her son, the kingdom has a heir. This story makes this white castle standing in the lake more warm and quiet. Without a few steps, I saw a purple flower gallery. I am happy, please Mr. took a lot of photos for me. The name of Nymphenburg is literally translated to Schloss Nymphenburg. This Chinese word is really subtle! The fragrance is quiet and conforms to the temperament of this treasured land where many goddesses and mountain goddesses are enshrined.

In the evening, I sat on a bench in the courtyard of Nymphenburg, watching the swan roaming in the lake. This is the best way to open the palace on the outskirts of Munich, Germany.
This palace was once the summer official of the Wittelsbach dynasty and the masterpiece of German garden art. It has gorgeous parks and gardens, small buildings, and the hunting palaces of Amalien and Bad Fort, which form one of Europe's important royal palaces.
There is also a beauty gallery in the palace, which houses the court painter Stiller, the most beautiful portrait of Ludwig I. This gallery has been attracting countless artistic hobbies for more than 100 years. And tourists. Luke Vichy I was a singer, known as the king of the most beautiful women.
