🧑🌾 Come together… “Ren” restaurant, they give it a short pronunciation 😅
Overview… If you like spicy food but have a mixed cooking style, come and try it. Personally, I like restaurants that use local ingredients or food that I have never eaten/or am worried about eating, and put them in the course menu in a clever way, such as plants/vegetables, galangal leaves, star gooseberry, and chamuang leaves.
- Lady Finger Banana, Salak … Chumphon
- Rakkatin … Krabi
- Sangkho Yot rice … Phatthalung
- Tapi River Prawn …Surat Thani
🧊 Total 18 menus (3,600++ baht) Choose what you like/are right:
🦐 Salt-fried Tapi River Prawns:
Fresh river prawns, cooked over the right heat, bouncy, sweet, and fragrant with the shrimp shell oil that is poured on top. I recommend…scraping the shrimp roe off the head and eating it with the Sang Yod rice brioche bread, it’s delicious.
🦀 Mute Crab Curry:
The first time I ate it, it was sweet, but the restaurant added crushed garlic, saying that it was to mask the smell of crab meat that some people might not like. So I didn’t really like the crab curry. But I admire the presentation of the curry in a cold soup, it’s unusual and very delicious.
🐠 Tom Som Pla Kai Talin Ping:
This dish is also great, making me realize that Talin Ping is just as good as the tamarind juice in the central region’s sour curry. The sour soup is spicy and full of curry paste.
The sauce that is poured on top is thick and has 2 textures: the outer ring is sweet, salty, and rich, while the ring around the fish eggs (made like a donut) is salty and sour. Scoop it up and eat it together and it's delicious.
🦀 Kanom Jeen Kaeng Pu Dok Jok:
This dish is beautiful, delicious, and will please those who love fresh Kanom Jeen noodles with crab curry. The crab claws and crab meat are fresh, firm, and sweet. I like that the crab meat is presented in a beautiful, luxurious crab mousse. Mix everything together. It's a shame there's not much. 😆 It's also unusual to eat it with Kanom Dok Jok.
🏏 Nam Prik Takrai:
Freshly pounded, the smell of herbs wafts out and makes your eyes hurt. 😅 It tastes good and spicy, southern food. There are more than 10 types of amazing vegetables to go with it. It's delicious when eaten with that vegetable, but the taste and smell change all the time. It's really fun. 😉
