#BaliTravel 1. Location Saraswati Lotus Garden is located in downtown Ubud next to the Grand Palace, so it's easy to find, but most people will probably search for Starbucks and go there. The problem is that there's another Starbucks nearby, so you have to double-check the location to make sure it's near the Grand Palace. 2. Photo Time You can get clear photos during the day, but Bali's daytime is rather hot, so I recommend the night view. However, around sunset, the bridge is blocked, so you have to stand diagonally from the bridge to take photos. However, when it's completely dark, you can cross the bridge, so you can take photos from the bridge. I've been to both, but I think the diagonal direction is prettier than the middle of the bridge, so we took photos without crossing the bridge. It was actually easier to take photos because there were no people. I think around 6 or 7 o'clock would be good! 3. Clothing Actually, anything you wear is pretty, but I think bright primary-colored clothes take better photos. I recommend yellow and red! 4. There was no entrance fee, but there was a performance inside instead, and there was an entrance fee only if you watched this! 5. Pose Naturally is the prettiest, and if you wear a one-piece dress, the back looks really pretty too. Since I was wearing a one-piece dress with a low back, I took a picture with my back showing a bit, and the side view turned out the prettiest rather than the front! This beautiful temple is dedicated to Saraswati, the goddess of learning, literature, and art. There is a beautiful lotus pond in the temple, old traditional Balinese architecture, artistic wall patterns and some of the most beautiful stone carvings in Bali. This temple is extremely accessible to anyone in Ubud as it is right in the busy center and entrance is free. It takes only about 15 minutes to walk through and see the whole palace. Opening hours are from 7am to 5pm, but morning is the best time to visit because it gets pretty crowded in the afternoon. 
If you want to continue the cultural experience, there’s also a traditional Balinese dance performance at 7:30 PM every night, which costs around $5 USD.

Saraswati Temple, a water temple in Ubud, Bali In Bali, you cannot enter temples wearing clothes that expose your shoulders or knees, but here, even if you are wearing long sleeves, you are required to wear a special prayer outfit (free of charge). The entrance is hard to find, but you enter between Starbucks and Lotus Cafe and pay the entrance fee. The prayer outfit is wrapped around your clothes and then you go inside. The lotus pond is beautiful and you can look at it for as long as you like, but the temple itself is not large, so you will finish looking at it quickly lol On the way back, we had a late lunch at Lotus Cafe. They said they would start charging an entrance fee and changing into local clothes, but since the staff was absent, a few people were able to enter for free. It was a great place to take beautiful pictures once you enter, and after having a cup of coffee at Starbucks, you can go out the back door and it's right there. There were a lot of people so I had to wait to take pictures, but it was nice to look around because the temple and shops are on the same street. Just travelled to Ubud from the coast, this place has a totally different vibe, surrounded by the jungle and rice fields... First place I headed to was the Ubud Palace and the Saraswati Temple. Met some friendly travellers from Europe and decided it's the evening to see one of the traditional dance performances, so we chose Chandra Mati at Saraswati Temple (there are so many more happening in other temples), just beware of the timing, different days - different temples, you won't have a problem to find people on the streets selling the tickets though! The price is 100,000 IDR per person and the show itself is an experience! Balinese music accompanies the traditional dance telling stories about the culture and legends. The temple itself added a lot to the experience thanks to the beautiful lighting! The dancers were so committed and expressive, their costumes beautiful and the music made a perfect background to the story, definitely something recommended to see! Located a few minutes walk from the Ubud Palace, the Saraswati Temple is a beautiful temple hosting many local cultural events. The bridge towards the temple is flanked by lotus ponds, making the entrance towards the temple gateway a beautiful photo backdrop. While the temple interior seemed closed to public when we were there, we were happily greeted by a local at the side entrance and were welcomed into the inner temple where a blessing ceremony was taking place. We believe it was a private event and felt very lucky to have witnessed this interesting occasion. The local ladies wore intricate lace kebayas that were really beautiful!
