Rock Houses and Hidden Corners in Setenil de las Bodegas
#summervacay This place is something else! Setenil de las Bodegas feels like a town that accidentally got swallowed by a cliff and just rolled with it. The whitewashed houses are built right into the massive rocks. Some streets are literally shaded by huge slabs of stone hanging over them like nature’s ceiling fan. It’s wild and super photogenic. You walk around and keep saying, “How is this real?” There's this one street, Calle Cuevas del Sol, where cafés and little tapas bars are tucked right under the rock, grab a coffee there and just vibe. Super chill.
The town’s pretty compact, so you can explore it in a couple of hours, but every corner has a surprise. Cute shops, cats lounging everywhere, and a castle at the top if you feel like getting a view. Totally worth the detour if you're road-tripping through Andalucia. Bring your camera, wear comfy shoes, and definitely try the local chorizo. Setenil is small, but it packs a punch!
