There are many greenways covering every district of Shanghai. This one on the east side of Huangpu River (Pudong) is my favourite. Starting from the EXPO park heading south is a lovely set of connected parks with dedicated biking and running trails along the river, all nicely decorated with trees and all kinds of flowers. The view is even more stunning during sunset. There are plenty of resting facilities “望江驛 (Riverview stopover)” dotting along the trail with toilets, free wifi, free charging service and water dispenser, which helps to make the trip a hassle-free weekend city escape. This place has become a huge shopping mall since the worlds fair in 2010. The amount of diversity of goods that this place has will take a consumer hours to walk through. 😬 The food is interspersed between the various shops, and you'll never be far from something to eat.
