TASTE OF INDONESIA IN TOKYO
#photolocation
Cinta Jawa Cafe in Shibuya, Tokyo, offers authentic Indonesian cuisine, with popular dishes like nasi goreng, nasi ayam penyet, bakso, soto ayam.
The food is flavorful and reminiscent of true Indonesian home cooking, providing a taste of Indonesia in Tokyo. Prices are reasonable, with meals typically ranging from ¥1,000 to ¥2,000.
Though the cafe has a cozy laid back atmosphere, it gets really busy during peak hours !
Overall, it's a great spot for those craving Indonesian food in the city.

Every time I visit Shibuya, I must go to 'Shikan'.
Shibuya in Tokyo is well-known, with numerous eateries and shopping malls, making it easy to find a place to fill your stomach. However, for high-quality dining, I only choose Shikan. It's about a 10-minute walk from Shibuya Station, and you might not even notice it standing in front of the store because it's hidden in the basement. This is my third time dining at this restaurant, and I particularly appreciate their set menu, which comes in different price ranges and uses seasonal ingredients. This time, I ordered their highest-priced menu, and every dish from the appetizers, sushi, fried items, wagyu beef, baked rice, to the dessert, left us in awe.

Shibuya ~ The Most Iconic Place in Tokyo?! 🇯🇵
Shibuya might be one of the most iconic places to visit in Tokyo. Save this guide for your next visit to Japan! 🇯🇵
📍 Shibuya Scramble Square, also known as Shibuya Crossing. The iconic massive street crossing, is so crazy to see in real life. It’s right outside Shibuya Station so you can’t miss it! Remember to check it out at night to see all the lights too!
📍 Shibuya Hikarie Sky Lobby ~ there are many options to see Shibuya crossing from above, but some require tickets, reservations or queueing. Avoid all of this by going to the 11th floor Sky Lobby! It’s a bit further away from Magnet or the Starbucks, but it gives an amazing view.
📍 Nintendo Flagship Store at Parco. In fact, there are so many cool stores at Parco. Nintendo just happens to be extra special and has so much incredible merchandise!
📍 Hachiko Statue ~ honouring the most loyal dog in Japan, who waited for his owner to come back for nine years. It can get pretty crowded here and people will line up for a photo.
📍 Miyashita Park was previously a public park but has been transformed into a three storey mall with vibey shops, restaurants and cafes. On the rooftop you can find a starbucks and skate park. It’s a nice place to hang out!

Tokyo is not just bustling; enjoy moments of relaxation.
Many people think of Tokyo as a bustling and noisy city, but it actually has a peaceful side as well. 🌇 When you stroll down the streets under the blue sky and white clouds, all you feel is relaxation and enjoyment. ☁️ In such weather, walking through the streets of Tokyo, you will discover another side of the city. There is no busy pace here, only tranquility and leisure.
The ramen is still delicious. This time, I didn't go to Ichiran. On a rainy day, I got soaked in Omotesando and rushed into a roadside ramen shop called 'Ore-ryu Shio.' While wiping my wet hair and clothes, I fiercely ordered a ramen and gyoza combo, a guilty pleasure full of carbs.
Shibuya is still crowded with people, and it remains the busiest intersection in the world. People of different skin colors from all over the world cross paths, leaving behind their turning backs. The bustling, lively atmosphere of the city has come back to life.

📍 Tokyo DisneySea ~ often overlooked by Disneyland, this park is actually favoured by people worldwide. Maybe it’s the unique design of the lands, attractions and theming, but it definitely has a fun twist to it!
📍 Senso-ji ~ one of the most popular shrines in Tokyo. Come here to feel a sense of tranquility, peace and tradition, away from the big city.
📍 TeamLab Planets ~ a one of a kind sensory experience. It’s an art lights exhibition that’s fully immersive, you even take your shoes off and walk around barefoot!

Recommended 2 nights and 3 days travel course in Tokyo, Japan
#JapanTravel
Day 1️⃣
Narita Airport ➡️ Hotel Check-in ➡️ Shibuya Scramble Crossing ➡️ Shibuya Sky ➡️ Hotel
☑️ I took the Skyliner from Narita Airport to downtown Tokyo. ☑️ I used the Edmont Hotel at Iidabashi Station. It's close to Tokyo Dome, so I recommend it to those who are going to see a show. There are convenience stores and drugstores nearby!
Day 2️⃣
Hotel ➡️ Tokyo Disneyland or DisneySea ➡️ Hotel
☑️ I went to Disneyland, but I've been going to DisneySea a lot lately since it's newly opened.
☑️ Tokyo Disneyland is expensive, so you have to play all day! In my experience, playing all day from opening to closing isn't enough.
3️⃣Day
Hotel ➡️ Shinjuku street tour ➡️ Hankyu Department Store ➡️ Narita Airport
☑️ The last day was decided as a shopping day, and I went shopping! Isn't Japan a country of shopping?
I only went for 3 days due to time constraints, but Tokyo is so big that I think I should go again later.

Visiting Tokyo for the first time, how to unlock both the tradition and modernity of Tokyo?
Visiting Tokyo for the first time, how to unlock both the tradition and modernity of Tokyo? Or, if you only have 1 day, how to make the most of Tokyo? You can start from Asakusa Temple, walk across the Sumida River along the "Tokyo Water Street" to the Sky Tree, get to know Tokyo with your "vision"; or start a gourmet journey on the tip of your tongue, go to Shibuya Miyashita Park to taste the special food from all over Japan with your "taste"; In the evening, you can climb high and look far, watch a light show at Shibuya SHIBUYA SKY; finally, end the day's journey and return to the Tokyo Royal Prince Hotel Garden Tower Hotel, look up at the night sky of Tokyo and the Tokyo Tower, and "feel" the super romantic Tokyo!
【Asakusa】
The Asakusa area of Tokyo still retains the bold and unrestrained characteristics of the common people in the Edo period of Japan. The streets, temples, and shrines here inject a strong sense of history into this area. Riding a rickshaw, you can get another unique perspective to visit Asakusa. The rickshaw driver is very enthusiastic, taking us deep into the streets, making us feel the retro style of the Asakusa area in the Edo period.
【Sky Tree Street】
The Sky Tree not only overlooks the extraordinary beauty of the whole Tokyo, but also has more than 300 shops at the bottom of the tower, "Tokyo Sky Tree Street (TOKYO Solamachi)", where you can buy and eat Japanese specialties and food. Many shops can correspond in multiple languages, which is very convenient.
【Shibuya Miyashita Park】
When it comes to Shibuya, it reminds people of the bustling and bustling iconic crossroads. The treasure in the center of Shibuya is hidden in the high-rise buildings of Shibuya. Miyashita Park has now been reborn and has become a new type of open space, like a secret garden in a steel and concrete forest. The Shibuya Alley on the first floor is a food alley, where you can taste a variety of local Japanese foods.
【Shibuya SHIBUYA SKY】
The Shibuya landmark Scramble Square is currently the tallest building in Shibuya. The rooftop has the largest rooftop viewing space in Japan, "SHIBUYA SKY", as if walking in the clouds. There is also a special light show at night, like entering the time and space gate of another parallel world, it is really cool!

Shibuya Streets, a visual wonderland in Tokyo
Shibuya is famous all around the world for it’s iconic crosswalk, it has been used in countless movies, Tv shows and music videos and has made the district a tourist hotspot. However it overshadows the greater Shibuya district which is one of the best places in the city for fashion, food and coffee. There are huge shopping malls with every brand you can think of but also small streets of independant stores like Cat Street, my favourite place to shop that I found in Tokyo.
Head for Cat street for some shopping then wander down the side streets to really see how cool this area is, there are lots of smaller shops and restaurants on these streets and you can really understand why Tokyo is famous for fashion. I found so many nice things that I’ve never been able to find in chain stores, especially shoes and accessories - a great place to top up your wardrobe!
As a caffeine addict it was also my favourite place in Tokyo for coffee and pastries, so many smaller stores offering unique roasts and coffee blends - if you like coffee you have to check out this area!
Head to Shibuya station, check out the scramble crossing then explore!

Japan's Most Loyal Dog
#visittokyo
The Hachiko Monument is a famous statue located in Tokyo, Japan. It is a bronze sculpture that commemorates the loyalty of a dog named Hachiko and has become a symbol of unwavering loyalty and devotion.
Hachiko was an Akita dog born in 1923. He became well-known for his remarkable loyalty to his owner, Professor Hidesaburo Ueno, a professor at the University of Tokyo. Hachiko would accompany Ueno to the Shibuya train station every morning and return to meet him at the same spot in the evening when he returned from work.
Unfortunately, in 1925, Professor Ueno passed away suddenly while at work, but Hachiko continued to wait for him at the station every day for nearly ten years, until his own death in 1935. Hachiko's story touched the hearts of many people, and he became a symbol of loyalty and devotion.
To honor Hachiko's memory, a bronze statue was erected in 1934 at the Shibuya train station, near the spot where he used to wait for his owner. The original statue was melted down during World War II to contribute to the war effort, but a second statue was commissioned in 1948 and placed at the same location. The current statue is a replica of this second statue.
The Hachiko Monument is now a popular meeting point and a symbol of Shibuya. It is often surrounded by people, and it has become an iconic landmark in Tokyo. Many visitors come to see the statue and take photos with it, paying tribute to Hachiko's loyalty and enduring love for his owner.

Cherry Blossom Street in Shibuya Tokyo 🇯🇵
A sky of cherry blossoms 🌸 Shibuya Cherry Blossom Street (渋谷桜丘町) is one of the most easiest accessible places in Tokyo to see cherry blossoms, just 3-minute walk from Shibuya station. It’a about 100 meters long but the cherry blossom trees line in the both sides of the street and the beautiful lanterns give it a very special look.
Buying yourself a cup of coffe, then walk on the sidewalk of that narrow street, watching the cherry blossom branches hanging down over the street and the petals blowing in the wind like snow could be a perfect way to enjoy the beauty there🥰🌸✨ The illumination there is beautiful too so if you love seeing the cherry blossoms with the illumination, the evening would be ideal time✨
Hope you will have great time in Japan 🌸🥰🇯🇵

Shibuya's Famous Pedestrian
My dream of coming to Shibuya Tokyo started when I was 12 years old after watching the anime Super Gals and reading its manga, Gals! By Mihona Fujii.
After almost two decades I got the chance to travel to Japan and one my iterenary for my trip was to visit Shibuya.
After having photos with the world's most loyal dog, Hachiko, you can spend your time taking photos and videos in Shibuya Crossing. Just be wary of the hundreds or even thousands of people crossing the street and don't forget to wear your perfect outfit for memorable photos.
The truth is, Shibuya Crossing is the strangest tourist attraction I have visited, after all, it's only a pedestrian crossing. Seeing this world-renown street really was everything I expected it to be. Tons and tons of lights, people everywhere, and plenty of spots to film and take pictures. And everyone obeys the light! Japanese people are very respectful about traffic signs.
The Starbucks of course is the most popular thing in the area and you’ll likely cross this area if you plan on doing some shopping at some point in your trip.
You can also try Japanese food specialities with the help of a guide to translate menus. You can try eat Sushi, Okonomiyaki and anything.
Bottom line, Shibuya is Great choice for a first-time Tokyo visitor to learn about food and culture.

Anime street
In this basement corridor stretch of shops, almost all of them specialize in selling Japanese comic character merchandise. My friend brought us here to experience the vibrant culture along this street. These shops have various items like figurines, cups, plush toys, key chains and many more, quite a good place to buy a souvenir for friends who enjoy these. It was a bit crowded, which wasn’t the best shopping experience. Prices of the items were also fairly expensive.
My overall rating of the experience: 4 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sunset Viewing at the Shibuya Sky
#meettokyo
Finally, we got to cross the famous Shibuya crossing - the business crossing in the world!
Visited the Shibuya Scramble Square which houses the Shibuya Sky. This has been open to the public since 2019. It is a 360 - degree open-air observation deck located on the roof of the Shibuya Scramble Square skyscraper, the tallest of all the buildings in Shibuya.
You can see everything through the glass floors and walls so it is really a huge achievement if you are able to conquer your fear of heights visiting this place.
People also patiently wait to watch the beautiful sunset.
To visit, you can purchase tickets online or at the ticket counter. I got mine for ¥1,800.

I have always wanted to go to Japan and i am happy that finally in August 2016 i was at the rising star country. I have also read how cool the city is with advanced technologies and gadgets plus the abundance of theme parks.
Me and my friends started our Tokyo journey with 3 visits to Disney Sea, Disney Land and the awesome Fuji Q Highland. We really had fun riding all the thrill rides and the kids in us were very obvious. Met the Disney characters, stayed for the parade until night and enjoyed the food there.
Shibuya crossing was cool and busy. there were so many people commuting on the public transport and we also tried shikansen. we were totally mesmerised by the city

Japanese lantern restaurant
One of our friends whom my friends and I met in Japan recommended coming to this lantern restaurant for dinner. It had really interesting decor and a floor plan layout that I haven’t seen in most restaurants on this trip. The entrance was actually blocked by a whole screen of lanterns presumably for the customers’ privacy dining inside.
Tables were also hollowed into the ground and separated by tall wooden structures for maximum privacy. The food on their menu is also quite unique. On top of the usual Japanese fare, there were dishes like whale meat and beef tongue, which was pretty delicious if you don’t think about what you’re eating!
My overall rating of the experience: 4 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Shibuya Crossing @Tokyo
Shibuya Scramble Crossing or popular know as Shibuya Crossing happens when the traffic light turns red, and all vehicles from all different directions have to stop at the intersection, giving time for pedestrians to cross the entire section.
Located in front of Shibuya station, these crossing moments have become popular among visitors coming to Japan, including myself. The experience is fascinating as so many people cross this intersection and are super crowded during peak hours, such as lunch hour and after office hours in the late afternoon.
Research shows that the number of pedestrians crossing Shibuya has reached 2,500 pedestrians. The office blocks and shopping centers contribute to the number of pedestrians crossing the intersection.
If you come to Tokyo, you must try Shibuya Crossing!
Location: Shibuya Station Hachiko Exit.

Shibuya Crossing - Busiest Street of World
#passionpassport
Shibuya Crossing is best known for the incredible 'scamble' that occurs every time the traffic lights turn red, stopping all vehicles in every direction to allow a huge wave of pedestrians to flood into the intersection for a few moments. As a major commercial and finance center, it houses two of the busiest railway stations in the world, Shinjuku Station and Shibuya Station. As of April 1, 2022, it has an estimated population of 228,906 and a population density of 15,149.30 people per km². #passionpassport #travelinspiration #visitjapan #traveljapan #traveladdict #urbanexplorer

Using high quality ingredients and air flown from overseas to bake freshly items everyday at this branch. There are queues forming even before the doors are open. Please wait patiently in line and decide what you want to buy before reaching the ordering station. For beginners, I will recommend to try out their popular items such as financiers, canele and madeleine. There are limited amount for sale and each person has only can buy certain amount. If you need to buy more, it is better to have another person with you in the queue.
