As soon as I walked into the restaurant, the wooden decorations and soft lighting created a calm and warm atmosphere, which completely overturned my stereotype of Chinese restaurants. The hotel is integrated with a shopping center and restaurants, making it one of the liveliest places in Yilan. The lobby is grand with an elegant Chinese style, while the outdoor relaxation area has a Bali vibe, creating a very chill mixed style. The affiliated Red House restaurant is also very famous, with its succulent Peking duck and creative duck sushi, which are so delicious that many people come all the way from Taipei just to eat them! The family facilities and family rooms at Silks Place Yilan are very popular. They even set up small tents inside the rooms, making it a paradise for kids. The outdoor play area is even more impressive, with inflatable playgrounds that can keep kids entertained all day long. Although the hotel is not located in a scenic area but in Yilan City, the prices are not cheap. A classic double room with breakfast costs around 10,000 TWD, and a room with a tent costs around 13,500 TWD. However, the rooms are quite spacious, about 40 square meters, so kids can run and jump around without any problem. If you want to relax in Yilan but also want good living amenities and convenient transportation, Silks Place Yilan is a good choice. The famous family hotel in Taiwan, Silks Place Yilan You can book a hotel car to pick you up at the Yilan City Center, the train station or the bus station. Downstairs from the hotel is Lancheng Crescent Plaza Department Store Convenient location! The eighth and ninth floors are the parent-child rooms of Findoch Castle, and the entire floor has been transformed into a racing track. Each room is equipped with an exclusive electric car, which can be driven back to the room or parked at the door of the room. There are large outdoor recreational facilities just outside the room. There is a tent in each parent-child room, where the children have a lot of fun. The hair dryer is a Dyson which I think is incomparable and comes with an air purifier. we visited Red Lantern restaurant at Silk Place Yilan on the country holiday, and we were told that we needed to order a set menu for 4 even though there were only 3 of us. it's really a very filling but delicious meal (you can takeaway the leftover food). the best dishes we would recommend - 1. Roasted duck nigiri (櫻桃鴨握壽司) - take a bite and the oil got squeezed out of the crispy duck skin, which got soaked up by the rice. the grilled cheese in the mddle added a savoury flavour to it. a unique dish that we had yet tried before. 2. Double-boiled duck bone soup with Chinese cabbage - indeed a flavourful boiled soup that is thick and tasty. 3. Sliced duck meat and skin wrapped in a light scallion crep - the creps were made with the greens of the local Sanshing spring onions (三星蔥) which does not taste "vege" at all. a very light dish, amongst the other more intense flavour dishes, makes it stand out. an expensive set menu, but you get to try out the different cooking methods using the same duck. address 260, Taiwan, Yilan County, Yilan City, Section 2, Minquan Rd, 36號6樓

Our room is located on the 8th floor. Our room is just near the lift. The bed is big enough for 2 and there is a tent in the room. The toilet and bath room share the same sliding door. I think it is easier to use than pushing door instead as water doesn’t splash out easily. The disadvantage is that it cannot be use the bathroom and the toilet at the same time. The lighting in the room is actually quite dark, and it is difficult for the eyes while using phone.

As expected, there was already a queue in the lobby. While I was queuing, a service staff came to hand out a list of activities and introduction of facilities. Because they have so many activities, they mentioned watching movies at Crescent Cinemas when introducing them. I checked the schedule online and decided to wait until CI was over before going to the next counter to reserve a seat (which also opens at 3 o'clock). By the time I got to CI, there was already a queue for the movie. Ha~ Then they asked me to choose one of the breakfast hours (7:00/8:30) because they had to divert the flow, so I chose 8:30. Next, I asked whether the bathtub I requested when booking the room had been put in the room. The front desk said yes. I suddenly remembered that I forgot to note the bed guard, so the front desk helped me check if there was any available. Luckily, there was and they directly called to have someone deliver it to the room. Super efficient! When they were finally handing me the card, they said, "Because your original room is under construction, we'll upgrade you to an executive suite." Oh my God, I was so excited and kept saying thank you! I almost jumped up🤣⋯⋯It was a gift from heaven🎁, my heart was beating fast but my mind told me to go to the next door to line up for the movie, and I successfully got a seat for the evening show Room Facilities/ It's really big, with a dressing room/balcony/big bathtub. The whole space is so spacious. The bed is very comfortable for 2 adults and 1 child without being too crowded. There is a capsule coffee machine/TWG tea bags. The refrigerator is fully stocked 🆓, as well as the usual mineral water and evian 🆓, Yilan cakes 🆓. You can take away a bunch of supplies in the bathroom, including L'Occitane/for children, a denim bag 🆓, flip-flops 🆓. To be honest, they offer so many things that you'd be scared if you took them, so I called the counter to ask which ones were available for fear of being overcharged 😂. The room has air conditioning and heating, and the temperature drops and rises quickly. I had a comfortable night's sleep~ The bathtub is super large and has massage and milk bath functions, but the downside is that it needs to be filled to 80% full before it can be started. I personally think it is a waste of water, but it is still a bit of a luxury. The other high blue air-cushion slide has staff on duty and is only for children over 3 years old, so most of the children are just driving the car/playing in the ball pool/jumping on the trampoline. Continuing to share the cherry duck feast in Yilan! Thanks to our friend for booking in advance, the four of us had an incredibly satisfying and happy meal that night. The location is the Red House Chinese Restaurant inside the Silks Place Yilan. The restaurant's cherry duck feast is very famous, and we were so fortunate to taste it. Our friend booked the four-person cherry duck set meal at Red House early! Last year it was TWD$4999, but now it has increased to TWD$5200! As soon as we sat down, the waiter served us complimentary plum vinegar! The sweet and sour taste whetted our appetites and helped to cut through the grease, which was great. Since Dad doesn't like vinegar, he toasted with tea instead! It was a great way to celebrate our first dinner together out of town. The set meal also included a drink for each person. I chose a white sour, which is a yogurt-based cocktail. Its slightly sour taste paired perfectly with the roast duck. First up was the very rich Red House Small Banquet! It included squid, green beans, braised beef, drunken chicken, mustard asparagus, honey pumpkin, and jellyfish. The honey pumpkin had a very special soft texture, and the honey's sweetness made it delicious. For seasonal seafood, we got the special fresh abalone! The restaurant thoughtfully sliced the abalone for easy eating. The chewy abalone paired with the slightly spicy special sauce was very flavorful. The cherry duck was carved tableside by the chef, showcasing the clean and skillful knife work of this Yilan specialty. While watching the chef's performance, we first tasted the braised duck platter! It included flavorful duck wings, duck tongues, and duck feet, with a slightly spicy taste that was very memorable. The second course was cherry duck sushi. The shiny appearance was very eye-catching! The crispy duck skin was fragrant but quite oily, and the sushi rice topped with cheese added a unique milky flavor. The third course used Sanxing scallion pancakes to wrap the tender duck meat! A layer of rich, spicy miso was spread inside, giving it a chewy texture and a strong scallion flavor. Scallion lovers will definitely enjoy it. There was also a very authentic scallion pancake with fried Sanxing scallions! The tender duck meat mixed with the crispy scallions created a salty-sweet taste that was quite good. For the fourth course, we chose the refreshing Summer Cherry! It was a cold dish with stir-fried duck shreds, eggs, and lettuce, drizzled with a special sweet and spicy sauce, making it crispy and flavorful. The final course was a slow-cooked cabbage and duck soup! The large portion surprised us! The rich broth, simmered with duck bones, was very fragrant and sweet, thanks to the large amount of cabbage, making it very thick and not greasy at all. For the chef's special dish, we chose plum sauce ribs! The evenly fatty ribs were tightly wrapped in plum sauce, making them sweet and delicious. After eating so much meat, it was time for some vegetables. We chose water lotus with duck scallion oil! The long, thin water lotus was very crispy and refreshing, and the duck scallion oil added aroma, making it irresistible. For dessert, we had mung bean cakes with egg yolk. They were fragrant, soft, and sweet. The Yilan special dessert was a large pot of taro sago soup. Taiwanese taro is famous for being delicious, and this was no exception. This four-person cherry duck set meal was incredibly rich, and it only cost a little over HKD 300 per person, making it very affordable.
