Located in the busy Takeshita street, you can find lots of different ‘animal cafes’, a concept which you can eat and drink amongst animals. However there were plenty which I did not want to enter due to the kind of wild animals which was being offered for interaction, such as otters, foxes and meerkats. My friend and I found a respectful, clean snake cafe, which offered a 15 minute interaction with a snake whilst being supervised by a handler and an option of some tea or coffee drinks. The snakes were kept in boxes safely so you could see them whilst you ate your food. It was a very calm, clean and relaxing environment and all proceeds from the cafe went into caring for the snakes!

Sakuratei is located in Tokyo Harajuku, so the neon sign outside the store is Harajuku-like and pretty!! The inside of the store is also much larger than I thought, so it's nice that the line moves quickly even though it's a famous restaurant. However, they take reservations, so I recommend making a reservation before you go! I recommend the mentaiko mochi monjayaki, pork and shrimp okonomiyaki menu! It was also fun because you get to make the okonomiyaki and monjiyaki yourself.
