Tharbogkharani National Park
Tharbog Khorani National Park is located in Ao Luek District, Khao Thong Subdistrict, Mueang Krabi District, Krabi Province. It covers an area of approximately 121 square kilometers, consisting of limestone mountains, tropical forests, mangrove forests, and islands in the sea. Originally, Tharbog Khorani National Park was called "Thar Asoke", which was a tropical forest and a habitat for wild animals. Later, in 1953, Lieutenant General Banyat Thephasadin Na Ayutthaya came to relax and thought that the original name was not appropriate, so he changed the name to "Tharbog Khorani". In 1955, the governor of Krabi at that time proposed to the Royal Forest Department to establish it as an arboretum, which the Royal Forest Department accepted and implemented. In 1985, the Krabi Provincial Forestry Office proposed the establishment of "Tharbog Khorani" and nearby areas as a national park under the National Park Division. and transferred to be under the jurisdiction of the Marine National Park Division in 1995 until it was established as a national park in the Government Gazette, Volume 115, Section 67, dated September 30, 1998 #National park worth visiting
