The star of the show at Din Tai Fung, and what they are most known for, is the iconic XiaoLongBao. While “bao” means bun, these are often called Shanghai Soup Dumplings. They are filled with a delicious hot broth in addition to pork (or pork and crab). Recommended to try other DimSum, dessert 糖水, fried rice, etc which are superb and authentic. Great service and nice ambient, hence, expects more pricey since it is a branded and iconic restaurant in Taiwan.

TAIPEI ZOO is huge, and you can easily spend a whole day exploring all the different areas. The animals seem well cared for, and the habitats are pretty impressive. I loved the panda exhibit—definitely a highlight. It’s a great spot for families or anyone who enjoys seeing wildlife up close. Plus, the surrounding scenery is really beautiful, making it a relaxing day out. Inside the zoo there is train to hop on by paying TWD$ 5 for one way, the zoo as well setup with route for handicapped or those on wheelchair. The park provided FOC wheelchair rental.

Taipei 101 Observatory is a highly recommended place to visit for any visitor to Taipei. The observation deck on the 89th floor offers stunning 360-degree views of the city, and the building itself is an architectural marvel. The entrance fee for foreigner is about TWD$600 when u purchase on site at 5 th floor, upfront online pre booking may able to get better rate. The lift going up from 5th to 89th floor is very fast less than 35 seconds. Coming down is about 45 seconds. Total 3 floors to visit 89, 90 & 91. The floor 91 allows you to walk outdoors for 360 view, 91 floor may be closed subject to weather conditions.

It is next to Shamao Mountain and Qixing Mountain with Datun Mountain on the right and Guanyin Mountain in front. The magnificent mountainous scenery and comfortable weather have made Yangmingshan National Park a perfect summer resort. Total area of the park is 11,338 hectares. A must visit scenic attractions when is Taipei, avoid raining day u will get splendid views on brighter day. Hiking here was wonderful! Nature at its finest! Beautiful trees, lush forest, and water buffalos! This place is truly amazing! There are many trails and all feel very manageable!

This old Shanghai-style Sichuan restaurant combines Taiwan's love for Sichuan cuisine, desserts, coffee, and cocktails. It's not just a restaurant but also a bistro-bar-café hybrid, and the fact that it opens as early as noon is a thoughtful touch. 😃 🌟 The exterior, lush with greenery, might make you mistake it for a floral shop. Once inside, the interior design deliberately avoids the typical impression of a Chinese restaurant. Bright lighting and warm tones from Western-style vintage lamps, paired with wooden tables and chairs, reflect the owner's meticulous attention to detail. There's even a story about an outdoor dining table that the owner found as a treasure on the roadside. 😆 🌟 The dishes are equally impressive. Signature items like "Old Seat Mouthwatering Chicken," "Strange Flavor Chicken," "Braised Tofu," and "Spicy Boiled Fish" match the effort put into the décor. The standout cocktail, "Hardworking Wife Grinding Tofu," features VSOP-infused peanuts, almond tea, hazelnut liqueur, rum, and Chinese-style tofu pudding. Highly recommended—it doubles as both dessert and cocktail. 👍 💯 The outdoor area is lush and inviting, equipped with cozy sofas and rocking chairs, while the indoor space exudes a strong retro nostalgic vibe. The balance between openness and privacy is just right. Here is a 4-day, 3-night Taiwan travel plan. **Lucky Draw, 5 people went and didn't get a single one.** DAY 1 - BKK -> Taipei (12.45) - Jiufen (leave your bags and take the train to go quickly) **We left our bags at the baggage storage at Taipei Main Station. If I remember correctly, walk up through Gate M2, it's the closest. The price is 50 TWD per day per bag, but it only opens at 8 pm.** - Shanhaiguan Tea House (Hot Pot shop) - Sunny Room (Accommodation, can sleep 6 people) DAY 2 - Houtong Cat Village (It was raining, couldn't walk around, hardly saw any cats) - Keelung - Zhengbin Port Color House (The riverside is beautiful) - Heping Island Park (It was raining like a storm, umbrellas were broken) - Ximending - Xin Mala Hot Pot (I had to eat it anyway. After a long day of rain) - Cat Tail Pocket Inn. ximen (Very good accommodation in Ximen, very new, very clean, 5 stars) DAY 3 (The only day that it didn't rain) - Zhongshan (Walking around and taking pictures, very beautiful, very chill, but don't go too early, most of the shops open around 11am) - %Arabica Zhongshan - The Master Spicy Noodle Zhongshan Restaurant (chewy noodles, very delicious) - Coffee Dumbo (Cool shop, good coffee) - Simple Kaffa Huashan Flagship Store (very crowded, but the coffee is very good, worth the price) - Shopping at Ximending - Crispy Milk Donuts (very long line, delicious, not too sweet) - Niconico Yakiniku (very delicious, very good meat) A bit pricey but worth it) DAY4 - Ay-Chung Flour-Rice Noodle (Ajong noodles, delicious for breakfast) - Longshan Temple (crowded but still bearable) - The Red House (walked around and took some photos before heading back) - Taipei -> BKK #Taiwan #Taipei #Taiwan #Taipei

If you're staying in Taipei, this is a highly recommended place! I'd like to introduce my favorite hotel, "Hotel RELAX Taipei Station Ichibankan" 🫶 ⭐️Review I was very satisfied with it, and it may have been the best hotel I stayed at in Taipei! First of all, the location is great, close to both Ximen and Taipei Station, and you can walk to Dhuoajie. The room is quiet and comfortable, and there are shops nearby that are open until late at night, so you won't have any trouble finding food even if you arrive late. There is a drugstore next to the hotel and a 24-hour McDonald's on the first floor. There is a drink corner next to the hotel lobby, and you can drink as much tea and coffee as you like. In addition, when I checked in, I was given two free beer coupons that can be used at sister hotels. I was told that I could present them by the time of check-out, but I missed the opportunity this time and couldn't drink them 😵 The room was spacious and clean, and it was great that the shower booth and toilet were separated for this price! There was a refrigerator, hair dryer, and minibar, and although it was compact, everything I needed was there. There were also two pairs of non-disposable slippers. The front desk staff who dealt with me this time, both male and female, were very friendly and gave me an eco bag when I checked in! The female staff spoke fluent Japanese, which is appreciated by Japanese people. The male staff were also very friendly and reliable😆 When I stayed there, it cost less than 10,000 yen, and I think it's a great hotel for the price! This time, we went to Taiwan with the intention of taking it easy! A laid-back trip with light shopping, heavy eating, and a flexible itinerary that covers everything. Most importantly, the food was amazing, especially the spicy mala dishes! --- DAY 1 – Arrival in Taipei: Landmark Highlights + Strolling in Ximending After landing at the airport, we headed into the city and checked in. We started the day with a visit to Taipei 101, taking photos of the iconic skyscraper, browsing shops in the mall, and doing some light shopping. The atmosphere was great. In the evening, we strolled through Ximending Night Market, which was packed with food options. Despite the crowd, it didn’t feel overwhelming. Must-try items include bubble tea, fried chicken, and grilled meatballs! Dinner: We went all out at TAKEMURA IZAKAYA, a Japanese izakaya in Taipei. The food was delicious, the ambiance was fantastic, and it felt authentically Japanese. Highly recommended for sashimi lovers. --- DAY 2 – Spiritual and Natural Escapes We started the day at Longshan Temple, a famous temple in Taipei frequented by locals. After paying respects, we leisurely explored the surrounding area. Next, we ventured out of the city to Zhengbin Fishing Port Harbor, also known as the Rainbow Harbor. The colorful houses lining the harbor made for stunning photos, like scenes straight out of a postcard. Dinner: Our first mala hotpot experience was at Delectable Hotpot. The broth was aromatic and perfectly spicy, with plenty of ingredients and an exceptional dipping sauce! --- DAY 3 – Mountain Views and Vintage Charm We dedicated the entire day to Jiufen Old Street, a charming mountain village with a nostalgic vibe. We enjoyed local delicacies like Taiwanese glutinous rice balls, traditional milk tea, and tea house experiences. The mountain and sea views were breathtaking, reminiscent of scenes from "Spirited Away." Dinner: On the way back, we indulged in our second round of mala hotpot at Xin Mala Hotpot. This spot is popular among locals, offering rich broth, high-quality meat, and fresh ingredients. A must-visit for spice lovers. --- DAY 4 – Wrapping Up the Trip Before Heading Home Before flying back, we stopped by Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall to take photos of the grand white building with its blue dome. The peaceful atmosphere and picturesque surroundings made for a pleasant stroll. Before heading to the airport, we did some last-minute souvenir shopping, wrapping up a trip that was both relaxing and fulfilling. ---
