• Wat Chaichumphon Chana Songkhram, or as the locals of Kanchanaburi call it, Wat Tai, is an ancient temple of the people of Kanchanaburi Province. It is located on the eastern bank of the Mae Klong River, Tambon Ban Tai, Mueang Kanchanaburi District. The original location of the temple was called Tambon Pak Phraek because Phraek is where two rivers, the Kwai Noi River (Sai Yok) and the Kwai Yai River (Srisawat), meet and become one. It is the origin of the Mae Klong River, so this sub-district has been called “Tambon Pak Phraek” since ancient times.
