#GetDiscountsWithoutLuck
🏯 "Wat Phra That Nong Bua" is one of the beautiful and famous temples in Ubon Ratchathani Province. It has beautiful and distinctive architecture, namely the Phra That Chedi Si Maha Pho and the statue of the Naga King Chapyaputta, which stand out prominently in front of the entrance to the Buddha Gaya Chedi.
🏯 The Phra That Chedi Si Maha Pho is a replica of the Buddha Gaya Chedi in India, the place where the Buddha attained enlightenment. It was built to symbolize the 25th century anniversary of Buddhism in 1957. It is an exquisite and magnificent work of art. It is truly a blessing for those who come to visit.
🏯 The Buddha Gaya Chedi is not only beautiful on the outside, but the interior is also decorated in a magnificent way. At the base of the chedi, there are four entrances to the center of the chedi. Inside, there are Buddha statues and sacred objects of Ubon for religious people to pay homage to for good fortune.

🏯 Another interesting highlight of Wat Phra That Nong Bua is the statue of Chapyaputta or the Rainbow Naga, one of the four Naga families, according to the wish of the abbot who saw a large rainbow snake living in the area of Wat Phra That Nong Bua. It can be said that it is a new landmark of Ubon Ratchathani.
🏯 Behind the Phra That Sri Maha Bodhi Stupa, there is an ordination hall that imitates the shape of the Parinirvana Vihara in Kusinarai, Uttar Pradesh, India, which is the place where the Lord Buddha passed away.
🏯 Now that you have seen the beauty, if you come to Ubon Ratchathani, don't forget to stop by to pay homage and ask for blessings for good fortune, especially for those born in the Year of the Snake or the Year of the Small Snake, no need to fly to India. Wat Phra That Nong Bua, a beautiful temple in Ubon Ratchathani
Wat Phra That Nong Bua is one of the most beautiful temples in Ubon Ratchathani Province, especially the Phra That Chedi Si Maha Pho, which is very unique because it was modeled after an Indian chedi. The carvings around the chedi are also very intricate. It is another important spiritual center for Ubon residents.
Another highlight that has created quite a stir is the two large Naga statues, Grandfather Krit Krakot and Grandmother Maniket, enshrined together. The interesting thing about these two Naga statues is that they are Rainbow Naga or Chapayaputta Naga, one of the four Naga families (Thais are more familiar with the Erapatha or Green Naga families). This family of Naga is rare and has a mysterious habitat. Tourists often come here to pray for good fortune.

Beautiful photo spots at Wat Phra That Nong Bua
When you go to Ubon Ratchathani, don't forget to pay homage to Phra That Nong Bua. It is beautiful and has a shape similar to the Buddha Gaya Stupa in India. In front of the stupa is a large and beautiful Naga statue. Many people will come here so you can park your car in front of the stupa. We came during the candle procession festival. We got to see the candle decorations to compete in the candle procession. It was huge and magnificent. Anyone who comes, please stop by.

Wat Phra That Nong Bua
History of Wat Phra That Nong Bua
Wat Phra That Nong Bua, formerly known as Wat Nong Bua, was built in 1955 by a group of Buddhists from Ubon Ratchathani to mark the 25th century of Buddhism, which was in 1957.
The most important feature of this temple is the Phra That Chedi Sri Maha Bodhi, or what Ubon residents call “Phra That Nong Bua.” Its shape may not be familiar to other chedis that Thais are familiar with, because it was modeled after the Buddha Gaya Chedi, the place where the Lord Buddha attained enlightenment in India.
Around the chedi on all four sides are carved images of the Buddha of the day of birth, as well as stories of the Ten Lives of the Buddha. Below the chedi are Buddhist disciples of the Buddhist order.
