Introducing Yeongcheon Bohyeonsan Dam Suspension Bridge, a must-visit spot during your trip to Yeongcheon. This location offers a spacious and convenient free parking lot, making it easy to visit by car. After parking, you can head towards the suspension bridge where you'll find amenities like a snack bar, restrooms, and a comprehensive information center for your convenience.
Opened in August 2023, Bohyeonsan Dam Suspension Bridge is the second longest suspension bridge in Korea, stretching approximately 530 meters. It is built to withstand wind speeds of up to 60 m/s, ensuring its sturdiness. At the entrance, there is a star-shaped observatory reflecting Yeongcheon’s concept as the "City of Stars," and you can also enjoy the zipline facility. The zipline experience costs 15,000 KRW per person during off-peak seasons.
The bridge's floor is made of a mesh structure, allowing you to enjoy the refreshing view of Bohyeonsan Dam below your feet. The surrounding scenery is stunning, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing walk. However, those with a fear of heights might feel uneasy due to the swaying of the bridge, so keep this in mind. As you walk along the bridge, you’ll find stairs leading to the Stone Pagoda Observatory, where you can enjoy an even more expansive view.
Please note that pets are not allowed, so plan accordingly before your visit. Nearby attractions include Bohyeonsan Observatory and natural recreation forests, making it an ideal destination for a day trip.
