The room layout is elegant and simple, but the details are in place. The bed is moderately soft and hard, making it easy to sleep. When I was backpacking, I used to stay at shared room hostels, and I went to a hostel after a long time thinking about that time. It felt young and energetic. It was located in the city center of Toledo, so it was easy to get anywhere, and the friendly host gave me detailed travel tips for Toledo. Toledo is a recommended day-trip destination for those who go to Madrid. It’s only an hour-train away from Atocha station in central Madrid and there are trains almost every hour. The train ticket can be under €20 depending what class you would like to sit. If you plan to walk around the ancient city, remember to bring your hat/ umbrella / sunscreen if you’re worried about getting freckles or tanned because there is not much shade or cover in the city unless you stay indoor. I did not have anything and walked under the sun for 6 hours… and my skin needs a lot of first-aid afterwards. Recommended to have a walking tour both in the centre where all the shops are and also up the hills and lookouts. Also there are a few museums if you fancy learning more about the local cultures. This time we visited the ancient city of Toledo, not far from Madrid, and stayed at the Alfonso VI Hotel in the city center. The hotel has a medieval feel and is surrounded by iron soldiers, making it a great place to check in. The room we stayed in was said to be a triple room, but it was actually a double room with an extra bed, so it was quite crowded. The bathroom had a bathtub, and I liked the terrace the most, with a great view. The hotel includes breakfast, the food is ok, but you need to pay attention to the dirty dishes, as the dishwasher may not be able to clean them thoroughly, so it is best to bring your own cleaning supplies. The hotel is in a good location, basically all the attractions are within walking distance, and it's great to stroll through the ancient city. it's location is in a hidden alley way. but when you Comes in... wow.. the interesting place with a nice vibe. The staff are super friendly and also helpful with checking for allergens. They speak English and Spanish, very friendly and service it's good.the colorful space for pizzas, burgers, tapas & burritos, with a vegetarian selection also. the pizza was very fantastic that it’s thin crust with a solid undercarriage. They had some locally made liquors which seems interesting to try. I had a home made lemonade with mint and ginger which was really refreshing after a long walk under the heat of Toledo. The architecture of that building looks like a cathedral and it’s hard to believe that it’s a railway station. This station is located in Toledo, Spain and was build in 1919 and restored in 2005. It is a historical landmark. The station also has a big tower with the clock visible from almost all the angles. The train station serves to and from Madrid and we lucky that we saw it with our own eyes.
