From the fruit platter surprise at breakfast, a shark gift from the kids' club, to the birthday-themed dinner table setup at the Fish Market where songs were sung and candles lit, it was her happiest birthday in the Maldives. For our final evening, even the dining table was thoughtfully arranged with a “see you soon” theme. Each morning at breakfast, Mannan would warmly greet us, and as days passed, my sister started looking for him when visiting Umi. After mentioning our craving for Chinese cuisine, they specially prepared carrot soup and cabbage soup the next day. Yolanda was incredibly quick in responding to messages, even faster than the butler service at St. Regis Maldives. For those who enjoy drinking, InterContinental is ideal, with happy hour offering unlimited drinks—we don’t drink much, so that aspect felt underutilized by us. Minor drawbacks include occasional Wi-Fi disruptions requiring reconnection and the limited yoga classes. As a yoga enthusiast, I had even considered trying the paid classes if the instructor turned out to be excellent, but with so few sessions, I couldn’t evaluate properly before leaving. Since I couldn't visit the main island for shopping, my butler, Mr. Saddham, kindly arranged for some items from the city and had them delivered directly to my room. Our stay at The St. Regis Maldives felt like a dream come true. The resort itself was breathtaking, but it was the activities that made our trip truly unforgettable. One magical experience was watching dolphins dance in the wild during a sea outing. We also thoroughly enjoyed sunset fishing and were thrilled to catch five fish in one go! Another standout was the morning yoga and meditation—we found the sound of the ocean waves during practice to be deeply peaceful and grounding. A huge thank you to our butler, Mina, who was incredibly attentive and perfectly organized all our schedules. We appreciated the thoughtful surprises he arranged for us, which made our holiday seamless and extraordinary!

Sorry for the late review! For our honeymoon, we visited the Maldives for the first time. From the warm welcome at Male Airport to the attentive service in the lounge, everything was smooth and exciting from the beginning. While all the staff were wonderful, our butler, Vai, was especially helpful. I was amazed to find someone who could speak Japanese fluently, and Vai's extensive vocabulary and remarkable attention to detail made everything even more special. My husband speaks English, but since I rely solely on Japanese, I never expected to communicate so stress-free in a foreign country. Vai's support with everything from the hotel van rides to choosing restaurants, planning activities, and even sharing weather updates and event information was truly reassuring. We also loved the many surprises along the way—thank you so much for those! The weather during our stay was fantastic, and the breathtaking views left us in awe every single day. It became the best travel memory we’ve ever had. We’d love to visit again someday!

Daily turndown service included delightful treats, adding a touch of luxury. Special thanks to villa butler Luthufee, who wrote gentle and heartfelt blessings on the floor-to-ceiling windows each morning, creating a warm and comforting atmosphere with meticulous details. A special shoutout goes to dedicated personal butler Mena, who flawlessly managed everything from arrival at Malé’s VIP lounge to departure arrangements. She organized activities like yoga, meditation, tennis, cooking, and mixology classes for rainy days. Mena ensured snorkeling safety, recommended unique hotel experiences, and promptly responded to messages, expertly handling every request with care and consideration. With complete facilities on the island, combined with Mena’s impeccable service and Luthufee’s thoughtful care of the villa, this trip was both relaxing and heartwarming. Highly recommended – we’ll definitely choose this place again for our next visit!

We just got back from NH Collection Maldives Reethi Resort, and it was truly fantastic. The room exceeded expectations and was far better than the photos online — a rarity, as pictures typically outshine reality even at places like St. Regis Maldives and Anantara Layan. Both the rooms and shared spaces looked significantly better in person. The interiors were high quality, and the linens and towels were top-notch. Booking this trip last minute based on our travel agent's suggestion, I was initially concerned about the underwhelming website images, but it turned out to be an unexpectedly great choice. The food was incredible, and special thanks go to Shahid, Majid, Vishal, and Mayank, who provided exceptional dining experiences. With two children having gluten allergies, the team went the extra mile by preparing gluten-free bread, muffins, and desserts. The wine selection was also outstanding. The Italian specialty restaurant was closed, but its dishes were served at Jumla, the multi-cuisine restaurant, where the chicken dishes were delightful. Kaiyo, the Asian fish restaurant, stood out with its menu flexibility — they offered all kinds of seafood, including lobsters and oysters, and prepared off-menu dishes upon request. The service was impeccable, probably some of the best we’ve experienced. The staff quickly understood our preferences and often anticipated our needs — my favorite wine appeared as soon as I sat down, and the kids' vanilla shakes were ready without asking. Nasir and Diana at the front desk deserve special recognition. The kids’ club was fantastic, and though I didn’t catch the staff member’s name, she was brilliant with the children, making them eager to return every day. The spa was excellent as well, with therapists offering effective sunburn remedies and aloe vera gel. The clinic, while good, was under-equipped. The doctor recommended oral steroids for my sunburn but didn’t have them in stock. They provided topical creams instead, which helped, though it was surprising such a basic medication wasn’t available. The dive center was outstanding. It was our first time scuba diving, and the experience exceeded all expectations. My eight-year-old joined the Bubblemaker program with Meredith, who explained everything clearly and helped him feel safe and comfortable. For my ten-year-old and me, the dive instructors adjusted plans based on how we were feeling. Sharwan, my instructor, took great care during the dive, ensuring I was comfortable and avoiding any discomfort later. The manta snorkeling trips were unforgettable, with amazing sightings in Hanifaru Bay. Sharwan even assisted with monitoring my kids in a strong current, making the experience smooth and enjoyable for all of us. The water sports center also stood out, thanks to Saif, who led excellent experiences. He guided us on reef snorkeling with young children, kept things safe and easy, and even took our GoPro to capture underwater footage for us. On another trip without the kids, he tested my swimming skill and took us to more challenging spots to see lionfish, eel, and reef sharks. The jet ski tour didn’t yield dolphins but included manta sightings, with Saif accommodating my desire to film them using a drone. He even made it possible for us to capture beautiful memories of the kids on a tugboat ride. Overall, this resort is highly recommended, especially for families, as they go above and beyond to make every moment remarkable.

St. Regis Maldives truly felt like a slice of paradise. We stayed for six days, spending the first three in a regular overwater villa and the last three in an upgraded overwater suite. Each morning started with a lavish breakfast, and dinner offered ample choices. Our butler, Abanoub Hany, was incredibly attentive and always responsive whenever we had any needs. He surprised us with thoughtful touches, from a honeymoon cake to stunning photos. As Marriott Titanium members, this was by far the best Marriott hotel we’ve ever stayed at. We’ll always treasure the crystal-clear waters and warm-hearted friends we met there, hoping to revisit this heavenly island someday.
