OMO7 Yokohama by Hoshino Resorts boasts a convenient location, within walking distance of the station, making it easy to reach both Minato Mirai and Chinatown. The interior design is imbued with the atmosphere of Yokohama Port City, and the rooms are clean, comfortable, and more spacious than expected. The staff are friendly, the check-in process is smooth, and the hotel is particularly welcoming to families. Guests can also enjoy the night view and on-site activities, making it a stylish and convenient accommodation choice.

Great experience. The staff were lovely and the area is beautiful. Rooms are very homely and comfy. We went into the onsen both nights and it was great. We also got dinner both nights at the hotel and the food was good we were impressed. Overall it felt like a very personal stay and couldn't be happier. For some of the logistics if you are wanting to do the hakone main loop. We recommend coming in from Shinjuku on the romance car, take the montain train up to Gora and then the cable car to Sounzan. We then took a roughly 10min bus from Sounzan to Yuyu. The next morning we then took the same bus back to Sounzan and caught the first 9am ropeway fo start off the loop. We managed to avoid most of the crowds and it was very convenient. Once again couldn't recommend Yuyu enough thank you for the great stay!!

The curtains are not completely shading in the morning. It is easy to be awakened. The sauna or swimming have to bring your own swimsuit. I forgot to bring it. So if you rent it, you need money. The clerk can communicate in English. This can also be used for bathing facilities.

The hotel is cheap and good. It should be said that the room size is the largest among Japanese hotels. The room is clean and tidy, with complete facilities. There is a mountain view outside the window, and the field of vision is relatively wide. It is relatively comfortable to live there. As the flight was delayed, it was already early in the morning when we arrived at the hotel, but the staff was still very welcoming. It's just that the hotel does not have Chinese service, so you need to know a little Japanese to communicate.

Our stay was absolutely fantastic. The traditional Japanese room was spacious and super comfy. The onsen facilities were definitely the highlight, way better than I expected for the price we paid. They have 3 types: 1 indoor, 1 outdoor and 1 mixed. All these are bookable throughout the day, from 7am to 11pm and they are completely private. The ryokan is 15 minutes walking from Gora station, so if you arrive by train and you have luggage I recommend you check on google map how to get there with a bus, otherwise you’ll have to walk uphill for a while. The only negative point I can find is probably the breakfast, I tried both western and Japanese style, they are both quite pricy for what they are and I personally did not enjoy the Japanese one. Despite this I would totally come back if I ever visit Hakone again.

If you are looking to escape the relentless pace of the city, Hilton Odawara Resort & Spa is an absolute sanctuary. I recently stayed here and left feeling completely recharged. The most striking thing about this resort is the peace and quiet. Nestled between the mountains and the Sagami Bay, it offers a rare opportunity to truly reconnect with nature. Whether you are walking through the lush greenery of the grounds or simply staring out at the ocean, the atmosphere is incredibly grounding.

Big Square, 3 separate rooms + spacious kitchen-hotel room. There are all necessary for rest, even dishes. Not very modern and new accommodation, but everything is clean and clean. 3 minutes walk to the beach, to the station 15 minutes. If you were there, we would have come again

April 2025: Got there an hour before check in and was informed that while my tent was ready that I would have to pay 1,000 Yen for the extra hour. I had a hire car so went back into town and came back later. Not the best introduction to the site. Very nice tent, good beds and pillows with a heater for the cold nights. Bathroom facilities were clean. Food very much aimed at local guests rather than foreigners. Note that there is some noise from overhead planes, the railway and motorbikes using the road below. Nothing deafening but it spoils the tranquility. Overall a good experience.

I didn't want to say anything, but after I left the hotel today, I texted him that I didn't pay for the room, so I wanted to say something. The house is an early local residential house, a two-story wooden house with three rooms above and below, all managed by this samurai buddy. When checking in, a girl came to help introduce the room and precautions. After 9 pm, everyone got off work, leaving only the guests. Last night, there were two young people living downstairs, and the other room was empty. The two young people went out after storing their luggage at 9 o'clock in the morning, and did not come back until after 9 o'clock in the evening when the lights were turned off. They almost couldn't get in. In fact, the door was not locked, but the sliding was stuck. It was cold these two days, and because the sliding windows of the Japanese-style room were not tight, there was air leakage everywhere, and even the two young people downstairs couldn't stand it. I looked at the bathroom shower room and didn't go in again, and I didn't take a shower that night. Of course, it was also related to the cold weather. Breakfast was also very simple. This buddy came over at 8:30 with a backpack and processed it here. Before 9 o'clock in the evening, the people downstairs were very noisy. I was a little sleepy and went to bed early. This guy was dressed like a samurai. His ancestors must have had samurai traditions. He was also good at communication and introduced some samurai customs. I felt that the guy was pretty good and worked hard. I wanted to praise him. Because I saw that he seemed to sell wine here, all of which were opened, and also opened meals. There might also be tour guides, so I had to pay the bill at the end. I thought the platform required 8,500 to check in, so I took the initiative to tell the girl who showed me the room that I had to pay the room fee. She went downstairs and asked the samurai, and then took a receipt to check the amount. I gave him 10,000, and she gave me 1,500 in change. I think he should ask the girl again when he checked in at 4 pm.

GGuest UserI stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and 3 days, and I really enjoyed the comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. I was surprised that the owner spoke Korean so well, and it was great to be able to converse with them. They kindly recommended restaurants near the hotel, and you can even drink and hang out with them at night. It seems they really love Korean music! If I ever come to Kamakura again, I'd love to stay here.
