TheForkUserThis is our second experience and we were not disappointed. From the moment you arrive, you know you are special. There are only a small number of tables. Each set with linen tablecloths, plates and cutlery, perfectly positioned. The host acknowledges you in gentle tones and ushers you to your table. He explains the menu, small, but perfect. The wines he recommends are French, of course, but they are matched to each course, and each is sublime. In the background there are sounds of French jazz or classical chamber music, but never intrusive. The food, naturally, is authentic, well proportioned and delicious. The most romantic dining experience in the whole of Sydney.

We return to Le petit Louvre a couple of times per year, it's easily the best fondu we've come across in Sydney (we're from France). The restaurant itself is great, small and intimate with only a few tables and wonderful decor, and the owner/host is very attentive and helpful. Looking forward to next time.
Very nice personalized service that is not available in many restaurants at all. Great to see someone so passionate about his meals doing everything they can to make dining here more than just a quick meal.No need to travel to France to get an amazing French dining experience. Would highly recommend.
An experience! I've lived and worked in France, and this had the memories flooding back. The menu is modest, but wonderfully delivered. My wife isn't a fan of oysters but after some expert guidance from Christian (the host-owner) she is now! Christian recommended the fondue as being "the best anywhere" and he delivered. We really wanted to sample the desserts but that gives us an excuse to return. The dishes were expertly paired and there's an excellent selection of wines by the glass and bottle. If you want to visit France for the evening, then this is it: magnifique...
From the moment you enter into the atmosphere of 18th century France everything from the decor to the music and of course the impeccable food offering beguiles you. The restauranteur/owner serves you himself with the dignity and decorum fit for a King. If you want the most magical experience and delve into the understanding of haute cuisine, wine and cheese this extraordinary experience will sweep you away.
