What travelers say:
The Sunday pork roast was excellent. Pork was tender, perfect crackling and a huge selection of winter veg (Swede, potato, pumpkin, beetroot, turnip, sweet potato and broccolini). Gravy was homemade and super tasty. Yorkshire pudding was disappointing, that’s the only negative. Service was excellent. Highly recommend the Palace Hotel for Sunday Roast.

Food and ambience are the highlight, beers not so much. Too much focus on microbrewery and IPA type beers. Tiger is long gone, unfortunately, but out of Corona this visit too.Maybe shut the side door when it’s freezing cold to stop drafts?
The Palace Hotel is always a great place for a meal and a drink. I celebrated my birthday here with family and had a lovely experience. The food was awesome and the staff were fantastic! Super friendly and accommodating, I'd originally indicated that I wanted to sit outside, before I realised it was going to be a cold and wet day. The staff were wonderful and noticed the weather conditions and set us up inside in the main dining area instead, which we were very grateful for! Will definitely be back.
Love going there, and love the food. This is my favourite pub in the area.I am really disappointed that Tiger beer was removed from the taps. Please bring back an asian or smooth European beer. I do not generally like microbrewery beers and used to absolutely love the Tiger on tap. In fact, the Tiger on tap was a bigger draw card for me than the Hawaiian Parma with mash and veg (which is my favourite meal in Melbourne). Maybe Peroni like The Clare?? Just something that isn’t acidic and an alternative to Carlton. Something we are all familiar with and is reliable.Thank you.
Cool pub. Great character and atmosphere. Food was delicious. A little uncomfy on the bar stools - probably an age thing! Service went that extra notch. Will definitely take the pooch next time
