We had an outstanding meal this evening. A long time favourite we realised it had been a while since our last visit. We ordered the rocket and fennel salad alongside (my favourite) their octopus. Exquisitely charred octopus tentacle with slivers of radish on a bed of summery diced zucchini and baby asparagus. The salad was simple and understated in a citrus vinaigrette, complemented with a bottle of Caldora Montepulciano d’Abruzzo. We segued into a delightful polpette and their chilli mussels with strips of freshly grilled bread. Both were substantial without being heavy. We finished out with an affogato, the blueberry ricotta cheesecake which came deconstructed and beautifully presented. I capped the meal off with a ristretto. Molto bene ???????? The waitstaff were attentive and very switched on. As we went to settle the bill we were treated to a delicious limoncello which capped off our experience. Highly recommended.
The truffle pasta and wood fired pizza were delicious! Staff were very friendly. Prompt service despite a heads up that our food could take 25mins due to a very busy night
We shared Calzone, salad, garlic bread and blueberry cheesecake which was all very good. Portions were very reasonable and couldn’t fault the service. Free parking in Subi on Sunday, we will return!
Our experience has been very good but limited to pizzas, that were excellent even by our Italian standards. We have also been happy with other food in the past.
