The bacon sandwich was really good, and the hot chocolate was properly chocolatey. Staff were friendly and the place felt comfortable.

The staff are so friendly, especially Roly and Lesley. It really feels like a proper local.

Saw dolphins from the water's edge while waiting for our table. The grilled fish was simple but fresh, and the chips were hot. A nice surprise on the walk.

The veggie breakfast was a proper find. The halloumi was perfectly grilled, and the homemade beans had a nice little kick to them. Really hit the spot on a lazy Sunday. The waitress was lovely, too.

The gluten-free pasties were a nice find. They bake them fresh, you can tell. The crust was actually flaky, which is tricky with gluten-free dough. Tasted pretty good, too.

Decent spot for a pint. The food looked pretty good from what I saw at other tables. They're very dog-friendly, which is a nice touch. A solid choice for a casual drink.

The Sunday roast is a solid choice. The beef was a good, thick cut and the gravy had a nice depth to it. Veg portions were generous, especially the roast potatoes. It does get packed, so a booking is essential.

The staff were so patient with our group, even when we were a bit loud. Made it a really easy place to catch up with friends.

The nautical theme is so charming, especially the old ship lanterns casting a warm glow. It’s a lovely, cozy spot for a burger and a pint. The staff were really friendly too.

Ordered takeaway for the first time. The portions were huge, honestly. Got the chicken curry and a side of rice, and there was enough left for a full lunch the next day. Food was tasty and felt proper home-style.

Decent spot. The garden area is small but nice to sit in with the dog. Staff were friendly, no issues there. Portions are big, maybe too big for me honestly. Couldn't finish my plate.

Recently refurbished, and the upstairs dining area is lovely. It’s clean, tidy, and has a really nice atmosphere. A great spot for a quiet meal.

Pizza was spot on, especially the Diavola with hot honey. Crust had that perfect crisp. Just a bit pricey for what it is, but no complaints on the food itself.

Cosy little French spot, ideal for a relaxed dinner. The coq au vin was spot on, and the wine list had a few really interesting Burgundies that paired beautifully. A bit on the quiet side, but that suited us just fine.

The breakfast was tasty. The eggs were cooked just right, the bacon crispy. Good portion for the price. Service was fine.

Cozy spot, good for a business lunch. Our server Alice was attentive, got our orders right and timed the courses well. The food was solid, no complaints there. Efficient service made the meeting productive.

The Captain's breakfast was a proper treat, very generous. The scrambled eggs were just right, not too runny. Staff were lovely and attentive, which made for a relaxed morning.

A nice spot with a decent buzz. The building itself is lovely and historic. The staff were friendly and knew a bit about the pub's past, which was a nice touch. Food was fine, though the service was a little slow.

The Sunday carvery is a solid deal. You get a good plateful with a few meat choices and all the veg. Gravy was spot on. I went for the beef and it was a decent portion for the price.

Booked ahead and glad we did, it was packed! The staff were really friendly and found us a nice, quiet corner table. Made the whole evening feel relaxed and easy.

Quiz night was a good laugh, well organised. Bar staff were on it, never had to wait for a refill. The atmosphere was spot on for a Wednesday.

Came for the waffles after dinner. The harbour view is lovely, but honestly, the portion for the price felt a bit off. The waffle itself was delicious, but it was quite small for what you pay.

Looks plain from the outside, but the food's the real deal. I've been grabbing takeaway from here for years now. Always solid.

Great service by a generally young, enthusiastic team.Well priced wine for the quality at a very sensible mark-up.We can’t fault the food and it was very consistent across a variety of dishes. We would definitely recommend as a great local business to support.

Portions are very generous here. The smoked duck curry was tasty, but I couldn't finish it all. The seafood dishes also had some massive pieces of fish. Decent value for the price.

The cask ales are the main draw. They had a local bitter that was perfectly kept, not too warm, with a nice malty body and a dry finish. The lager options are decent but it's the real ales that keep me coming back.

The tasting menu was pricey but honestly, the portions were generous enough that I left comfortably full. You get what you pay for with the quality of the local ingredients.
