Solid spot for a quick business lunch. Had the steak pie with a pint of their house ale. Pie was hearty, ale was decent. Service was efficient, got the bill sorted quickly. Good for a no-fuss meal near the office.

Been coming here for years. It's a proper local pub, the staff are friendly and always remember your name. Makes you feel at home.

The staff were really friendly and attentive. They took the time to go through the menu with us for dietary needs, which was helpful. Portions are decent for the price, so you get good value.

The veggie roast was spot on - really well-seasoned gravy and the roasties were crispy. Portions are generous for the price. Burger looked good too, but I didn't try it. Solid pub grub.

The handmade chocolates were a real treat. Picked up a gift box for a friend, and the Ruby chocolate was a standout. Nice to see a thoughtful selection that pairs well with a digestif or a strong coffee. The white chocolate was a bit sweet for my taste, but overall a solid choice.

Found this cute spot in Buxton. The full English was spot on, and the giant pot of tea was perfect for sharing with my mates.

The fish is so fresh, you can taste the quality. The new owners kept the same high standards, which is a relief. Really appreciate the focus on simple, clean ingredients. The welcome was warm, but the portion felt a bit small for the price. Still, a solid spot for a healthy meal.

I drive a fair way for this place. The portions are generous, and the quality is solid for the price. Always happy to make the trip.

The ingredients tasted so fresh, especially in the salad. Portions were a bit small for me, but the quality was there.

Great spot for a Sunday roast. Quick service for a sit-down meal, and they sorted my mate's gluten-free plate no problem.

Been here a few times for quick business lunches. The chickpea and spinach curry is a reliable choice, flavourful and not too heavy. Service is always efficient, which is key when you're on a tight schedule. Good spot near the office.

Great spot for a quick bite. Garlic bread was spot on, and the salmon roll was fresh. They made my pasta extra creamy, no fuss. Perfect for when you're in a rush but still want something decent.

Lovely, clean pub with a cozy feel. The steak and ale pie was spot on - rich gravy and proper flaky pastry. The gin and raspberry cheesecake was a real highlight, not too sweet. A solid meal.

The triple meat Sunday roast was spot on. The beef was tender, pork crackling crisp, and the chicken juicy. Gravy was rich, and the Yorkshire puddings were proper. Portions are generous, so come hungry. A solid Sunday feed.

The duck pancakes were really tasty and not greasy at all. The booths were comfortable, which made for a relaxed meal.

Came for the Sunday roast, and the beef was so tender it just fell apart. Massive portion too, I could barely finish it! Really cosy spot for a lazy weekend.

Stopped in for dinner while visiting Buxton. The young staff were really attentive, which made the whole evening feel relaxed. Came back the next night just for the pies, they were that good.

Popped in for a coffee and a slice of their chocolate tart. The espresso was a bit too dark for my taste, but it worked surprisingly well with the rich, sweet dessert. Nice little spot to unwind.

Solid spot for a quick lunch in Buxton. The owner is genuinely friendly, which made the service feel efficient and pleasant.

The ingredients taste so fresh here, especially in the salads. Really good quality for the price.

Loved the location, right at the top of the hill. It’s got that proper old-school pub feel, really cosy and welcoming. Spotlessly clean too! Spotted a pool table and darts board, which is a nice touch.

Love that they have a huge free car park! Made meeting my friends so much easier, no stress about finding a spot. The dog-friendly bit is a nice touch too, saw a few cute pups around. Perfect for a casual catch-up.

A real find in Buxton! The food is fresh and so tasty. It gets super busy though, perfect for a lively catch-up with friends if you book ahead.

Cosy place, friendly staff. The sharing platter to start was spot on – loads of variety. Steaks were cooked perfectly, just how I like them. Good choice of Belgian beers to go with it. Solid meal.
