I went there today, too, admiring its reputation. Unfortunately, it was past 10:00 AM, just as the waiter was leaving. I spoke with the bartender, and she sold me a few items: siomai and fried cakes. I'll try them when I get back to Nanjing. All in all, the bartender wasn't as storied as she was; she was quite accommodating. The waiter was also very polite and left their contact information. Next time, I can call ahead. Even if I'm late, they'll still keep my order. What else can I say about such service? Red Lantern, I hope you raise this flag even higher and higher. On April 11th, I had dinner at the Gaoyou Red Lantern Restaurant. Although the restaurant is large, it is very crowded. It is a gathering place for local residents to have morning tea. The buns are quite big, the steamed dumplings, and the assorted dried bean curd are delicious.

Our 3-day, 2-night itinerary once again focused on Jiangsu and Zhejiang. Gaoyou, with its excellent food, drinks, and attractions, is a great choice for a short trip. 1️⃣ Zhangji Restaurant (Wenhuagong Road Branch) This is a very famous dim sum place, truly delicious and well worth a try. You need to order first and then be seated according to the number on the order sheet. 2️⃣ Red Lantern Specialty Dim Sum This is also a very famous dim sum place, but I personally think it's just average. It's not as good as Zhangji and the prices are higher. 3️⃣ Lao Tu Zao · Yangzhou Intangible Cultural Heritage Huaiyang Cuisine (Shimao Golden Street Branch) This is a very popular place, frequented by many locals. The food is excellent, and almost every dish is delicious. The service is also excellent. 4️⃣ Good Neighbor (Gaoyou Branch) This is also a popular place in the area, but I personally think it's just average. The food is more popular with young people, and the prices are reasonable. 5️⃣ Jiaojiaxiang Noodle House This is an older place, very clean, and the prices are reasonable. Affordable. The best part is the Yangchun noodles, and the freshly fried toppings are also quite good. 6️⃣ Zhang's Pubao Rou (Pubao Rou) Across from the Wang Zengqi Memorial Hall, I'm not a huge fan of Pubao Rou, but the seasoning here is definitely better than at Jiaojiaxiang Noodle House, and the owner is also very nice. 7️⃣ Tofu Nainai (Wang Zengqi Memorial Hall Branch) The stinky dried tofu is unique; the sauce is stuffed inside the dried tofu and then deep-fried. It's quite good when hot, but everything else is just average. 8️⃣ Yebuer (Takeout) The coconut water is very refreshing, perfect for summer, and very thirst-quenching. 9️⃣ Banshan Lemon (Takeout) Both the milk tea and lemon tea are excellent. 1️⃣0️⃣ Gaoyou Red Sun Food Co., Ltd. For a Gaoyou specialty, you absolutely have to buy salted duck eggs.
