_We***23Very culturally enriching and interesting heritage from the Ming Dynasty. Over 500 years of preserved history, very big place with with gardens various branches of the old government, anti-japanese regime and ancient artifacts and paintings.
SarahI went on a Tuesday morning before 8.30am in term time so it was quiet, serene and not crowded. it got busier as the day progressed and tour buses arrived but nothing like holiday time in China. the all access ticket was 210 you can scan the code to get a ticket if the office isn’t open when you arrive. it includes a time for the show at the palace. I also paid the 40rmb for the hop in and off bus because the area is large and it was a boiling hot day so it was convenient and made the day more relaxing and pleasant. you can walk if you don’t fancy the bus the paths are beautiful and there are many shaded areas. there are many things to see; a Buddhism cultural museum; fantastic views and numerous places for food and drink. if you see the morning shows you’ll be pleased past various restaurants which are really expensive (500rmb a set meal). I’d skip those and head for some snacks in the downstairs lobby you’ll walk through before you can exit (includes drinks fruit ice cream etc) and wait till you get to the exit of the entire place as you’ll be forced through commercial city (like IKEA) until you can exit - but this place has many small food stalls that are cheap and cheerful with seating. I had special fried rice and passion fruit juice for 23rmb. you can easily spend a morning or an afternoon here. oh and one final thing - all the toilets were spotless and well stocked !
~Qiancang Sunflower Sea~
This is located in Liuhe District, Nanjing. Take metro Line S8, get off to Fenghuangshan Station, the sunflower farm is just 5km away from the station, you can take didi or bus.
The sunflower sea is really beautiful. I super had a good time taking photos. The management is well-organized. Several farmers were selling their own crops, planted in the area. You can also find different kinds of flowers that will surely captivate you with its beauty. The place super worth your time, I never missed a single year visiting this place.
📍Entrance Fee : it's free of charge 😋
📍Restaurants : there's no restaurants, but
there are vendors selling some
📍Visiting Month : late September to October.
This in one of the nicest scenic spots located in Pukou District, Nanjing. It contains some very clear lakes because of the springs. The water quality is excellent. It's a suitable place to gather with family and friends staying there the whole day. There are many restaurants, coffee and snack shops. It is very easy to walk around and I so liked it. There are rides inside the park, cable car going to the great wall, and even a zoo. There's a lot to play inside. You won't waste your time visiting this place☺️
📍Entrance : 40rmb
📍Cable : 100rmb back and forth
📍Time : open from 8:30am - 8:00pm
Had a pleasant stay in this hotel…it’s in the midst of busy town,it’s peaceful in the hotel.
Also in a very convenient area with a shopping mall down the road and tons of restaurants around. Very clean and polite staff who are always willing to assist with anything.
strongly recommend it!
📍How to get there - I took a nice walk from my hotel located near Xinjiekou. (It took about 40mins).
You can also ride a bike (Nanjing is pleasantly a very bike-able city!)
A DiDi is always an option or the closest 🚇 subway station is Mochouhu on line 2).
Cost - The price per person is 30¥ (If I remember correctly 😅).
Attractions- There’s a small children amusement park, you can rent pedal boats, visit the lotus garden, have a nice picnic and enjoy the peaceful environment!
Restaurants- I saw some snack stands but that’s about it. I’d recommend you bring your own food
and have a nice picnic!
This park is also conveniently not far from the Memorial Hall of the victims in Nanjing Massacre.
Enjoy your day! 😊

“The Nanjing Massacre refers to the 40-day slaughter committed by the Japanese army in the early stages of their invasion of China, which cruelly claimed the lives of more than 300,000 civilians and captured soldiers. One third of the city was razed and property losses were beyond count”.
📍How to get there - The closest subway station is Yunjinlu (line 2).
Cost - Free.
The Memorial Hall is HUGE. There are three exhibitions you can go too.
Prepare to be shaken. Pictures and videos are very graphic. It is honestly one of the best museum I’ve ever been too.
You can also buy flowers on site to commemorate the victims.

Linggu Tower is inside the Linggu Temple scenic area in Nanjing. The tower is open and you can climb to the top, from where you have an excellent view on the surrounding forest. It's quite tiring but worth the view.
From the main entrance of the scenic area you walk about 1,5km northwards.
🎟️ Entrance to the scenic area is 20-40元. If you reside in Nanjing, I can recommend the year card, which includes almost all scenic spots of the city.

It was time to try a new restaurant opened in Nanjing. As far as I know, it's a small Shanghai franchise.
Name: 1886 German Car Restaurant (1886德国汽车餐厅)
Location: XinJiekou North
The food is good. It's not very authentic German food tough, I would call it German style food or just a mixture of good German food. It's very meaty, so not the best choice for vegetarians. Prices are moderate till high. We didn't try the drinks tough.
The atmosphere is "car theme", even some car modells from German and Italian cars are hanging on the wall. It's quite popular, almost every table on the two floors was occupied.

Linggu Temple is a Buddhist temple in Nanjing, China. The temple was once described as 'the best Buddhist temple in the world'. Later it was destroyed several times and is now surrounded by a large and beautiful park in the forest.
It lies at the southeast foot of Mount Zhongshan. Because I live nearby, I go there at least three times per week, usually for jogging.
Linggu Scenic Area, Linggu Temple Road (Take a bus or taxi from the subway station)
🌟 What to do?
- Visit the temple
- Eat in the vegetarian noodle restaurant
- Climb the Linggu tower and enjoy the view
- Play with the cats that live in the forest
Left breathless by these views.
