An hour from Hangzhou! We'd seen it beforehand, predicting sunrise would be around 6:10 AM. We drove directly from Hangzhou. The route started in the morning. 1️⃣ Guanhai Garden: Crowded with people watching the sunrise, it made for beautiful photos. 📷 Stunning photos! After viewing the sea, we went first. 2️⃣ Si Shi Chun Shaomai: We tried egg yolk, preserved plums, and dried bamboo shoots. The shumai were very juicy, and the cooking was different from ours: the ingredients were right on the top, not blending into the meat in the middle. Then we went to 3️⃣ Old Man Yan: We had a bowl of Sichuan eel, which had a slightly sweet taste. The eel was better than the snakehead fish fillet and pork liver, and the noodles were also on the sweet side. 4️⃣ Chendang Brewery: The century-old "Taixing Sauce Factory." You can visit the underground cellar and the former site of the factory. 5️⃣ Chendang Barn: A renovated abandoned barn. The park also houses a popular creative bookstore and coffee factory. I even ran into Yu Hua in the bookstore! 6️⃣ Chendang Ancient Town, Victory Restaurant, and Yu Hua's food are all delicious! The fried pork liver is quite good. If you want to eat, be sure to arrive before 11:00 PM; they usually sell out after that. 7️⃣ Ziwei cold drinks and Eight Treasure Soup are delicious! They also have glutinous rice and mung bean soup! 8️⃣ Shenxian Lake! Twin Lakes, the sunset is beautiful! From sunrise to sunset... it's perfect for a day trip from Hangzhou or Shanghai!
