Recommended by a friend, very flavorful Inner Mongolian cuisine, I couldn't walk after eating it
The restaurant environment is nice, but the service is a bit disappointing.
Hohhot Food Map | Get an Immersive Mongolian Feast‼ ️ I discovered an absolutely amazing Mongolian restaurant in Hohhot! The horse-head fiddle background music and Mongolian bao decor transport you to the grasslands. There are also exciting ethnic song and dance performances every night, creating a truly captivating atmosphere. 🏠 Oruduo Mongolian Cuisine 📍 Unit 01, Ground Floor, T3 Slow Life Commercial Block, Inner Mongolia Hotel, Ulanqab West Street 🔥 Must-Try Menu: ▪️ Oruduo Grilled Lamb Chops: Crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside! The crispy exterior reveals tender lamb, sprinkled with cumin and sesame seeds, making it incredibly fragrant. ▪️ Butter-Fried Blood Sausage and Pork Sausage: A truly amazing combination! The blood sausage is chewy and has a milky aroma, while the meat sausage bursts with flavor when you bite into it. ▪️ Milk Skin Vegetable and Fruit Salad: Freshly peeled milk skin covers the entire plate, paired perfectly with sand apples and honey. The milky aroma is overwhelming from the first bite. Tips: 1⃣️ It's recommended to go after 7 PM so you can enjoy the Mongolian song and dance performance while you eat (the performers even come down from the table to interact, which is super fun). 2⃣️ The decor is full of Mongolian elements, with saddle seats and copper pot chandeliers, making any photo you take a great shot. 3⃣️ The portions are generous! Two main courses and a salad are more than enough for two people. The joy of devouring meat and sipping milk tea is a must-try in Hohhot! #HohhotFood #MongolianCooking #GrasslandFood #EthnicRestaurant #InnerMongoliaTravel
Today, I'll show you the most authentic Mongolian cuisine in Hohhot! As a dedicated foodie, I ate at four amazing restaurants, each never twice. Save this guide to my tips! 👇🏻 🌟First: Saiyide Mongolian Cuisine🌟 👉🏻 [Mongolian Milk Tea] Made with a butter base, fresh milk, and brick tea, it's topped with beef jerky, milk tofu, and fried rice! It's incredibly savory and flavorful, and a perfect accompaniment to any Mongolian meal! 💥 👉🏻 [Milk Chewing Mouth] A kid-friendly treat! Made with pure milk, it's even better with milk tea! 👉🏻 [Mongolian Camel Meat Pie] Thin crust and generous filling, filled with high-protein, low-fat camel meat! 👉🏻 [Lamb and Scallion Baked Buns] The fragrant scallion perfectly balances the mutton's tang! 🍖Second place: Zaoge Grassland Beef Bones🍖 👉🏻[Beef Bones] I was immediately drooling when they were served. The portion was so generous it would satisfy my meat-eating cravings!‼️ 👉🏻[Eji Milk Tea] Milk skin + fried rice + dried fruit noodles + beef cubes ~ perfect for sharing between three or four people 🏰Third place: Oruduo Mongolian Cuisine🏰 👉🏻[Mongolian Hot Pot Tea] Slow-cooked with Pu'er tea, milk, and salt🕰️, the pot is filled with butter-sautéed fried rice, jerky, milk tofu, and beef jerky... The milky aroma was so rich I drank several bowls!🤤 👉🏻[Caramelized Milk Tofu] It's like caramelized sweet potato, but even more amazing! A crispy shell envelops delicate milk tofu, creating a perfectly silky texture. 👉🏻[Grilled Lamb Chops] Dust with cumin and chili flakes, and served with pickled cucumbers for a refreshing and greasy treat. 🍽️Fourth: Uliyaji Mongolian Restaurant and Bar🍽️ 👉🏻[Buryat Steamed Buns] Steaming hot from the pan! Thin, juicy beef filling mixed with onions, perfectly flavorful and completely non-muttony, you'll want to keep eating! 👉🏻[Braised Fried Lamb Chops] Golden, crispy crust conceals juicy lamb. 👉🏻[Curry Tofu] Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and generously coated in sauce. The slightly spicy sauce will whet your appetite! I could easily boast two bowls of rice! #WhatToDoInHohhot #AReallyDeliciousSnacks #NicheDiscovery
📖📖 Itinerary Day 1: Vienna Hotel (Zhaojun Road, Hohhot) We encountered the legendary once-in-50-years downpour, which, to a southerner, was merely a mild downpour, flooding most of the city. Day 2: Vienna Hotel (Zhaojun Road, Hohhot) → Zhaojun Museum → Oruduo Mongolian Cuisine Mainly focused on preparing for the competition. We enjoyed a Mongolian meal, which was incredibly generous and the performances were fantastic. Day 3: Vienna Hotel (Zhaojun Road, Hohhot) → Saishang Old Street Still focused on preparing for the competition. I took some time to take photos of Mongolian and Tibetan princesses with my daughter. She was so vain and happy. But... People were following the crowds on the old street, so I dissuaded a parent with two children from going. The zoo was closed due to the floods a few days ago, so I regretfully left. Day 4: Ulan Hada Volcanic Geological Park → Huitengxile Herder Northern Xinjiang Cultural Resort Hotel A 3.5-hour drive turned into 6 hours. Drivers constantly driving against traffic rules within the scenic area caused unnecessary traffic jams. I suggest strengthening traffic management. We arrived at the grasslands at 8:00 PM, but luckily we made it in time for the bonfire party. Day 5: Huanghuagou Grassland Tourist Resort → Zhefei Hotel (Bus Station, Public Security, Procuratorate, and Court Office Area, Saihan District, Hohhot) Don't join a tour group!!! You'll be rushing around, unable to leisurely enjoy the scenery, and won't have time for the kids to go rafting, which is frustrating. Day 6: Xiangsha Bay Fusha Island Resort It was my first time seeing a desert. The sand was incredibly soft and fine. The hotel was amazing, the buffet was excellent, and the express lanes for in-house guests were fantastic! I especially loved the evening bonfire party and stargazing. The stars were so bright. Day 7: Xiangsha Bay Fusha Island Resort → Yili Health Valley Tourist Area → Hampton by Hilton Hohhot Gulou One night is too short. I strongly recommend at least two nights! Yili Health Valley is huge, and the automated production is amazing! Can they build a moving walkway? I can't walk... Day 8: Inner Mongolia Museum → Qingzi Yunchuan Hotel → Eternal Horse Song Inner Mongolia's scenic areas and museums are huge. I recommend splitting the trip over two days. I really can't walk [Facepalm] Day 9: Chi Lechuan Grassland ➡️ A popular airplane photo spot If you're taking your kids, you absolutely have to visit Chi Lechuan for that Chi Le Song. I recommend choosing second class for Eternal Horse Song; it's worth the price. The flight photo spot was amazing! I took some unique photos! Must-see attractions: Huanghuagou Grassland Tourist Resort: Ulan Hada Volcanic Geological Park: Eternal Horse Song: Sound of the Crescent Moon Bay:
