Generations of chefs, through their traditions, have made Huaiyang cuisine's "harmony, refinement, purity, and freshness" a classic at state banquets. During the "Exploring Huaiyang Flavors, Promoting State Banquets" event, Shenwei joined nine celebrity chefs from Wanda Hotels & Resorts to explore the history and cultural essence of Huaiyang cuisine. Veteran Chinese culinary master and one of "Huai'an's Top Ten Chefs," Chef Feng Xiangwen personally visited the kitchens of the R&F Wanda Realm Hotel Huai'an to guide the chefs in preparing authentic Huaiyang cuisine, including eight classic dishes such as Huaiyang Braised Dried Shredded Vermicelli, Pingqiao Tofu Soup, Braised Lion's Head, and Soft-Covered Long Fish. After each chef's dish, Mr. Feng provided detailed feedback and suggestions for improvement. This kind of event is not only a valuable training opportunity for young chefs, but also a feast for us in the media. Their authentic flavors distinguished Yangzhou cuisine for us, and left our taste buds deeply engraved with Huaiyang cuisine, leaving us captivated and unable to extricate ourselves! This food event not only shared a culinary skill, but also showcased and preserved a profound historical and cultural heritage.
