GU ZHEN JIANG JING

I went to Guangxi for a trip and this stop was in Guilin. I stayed at the Jiangjing Hotel in Guzhen. This is the hotel's western restaurant and also the place for breakfast. The variety of breakfast is not rich, and they are all relatively simple and ready-made foods. For me, a bowl of freshly cooked Guilin rice noodles is enough. The restaurant environment is very good, with indoor and outdoor seats. The indoor area is a book bar. You can also come here to make tea and drink coffee in the afternoon. The outdoor air is very good. The Li River is downstairs. The hotel also planted a lot of plants here, which is very beautiful.

This time I stayed at the Ancient Town Jiangjing Hotel and booked an afternoon tea to enjoy. The restaurant is on the top floor. While drinking tea, I enjoyed the view of the Li River. The variety of tea was rich and delicious...

The view is nice, the environment is satisfactory, the service is good, but the dishes are not satisfactory, because these foods are the dishes available in the hotel buffet breakfast (I would never take those cakes when I enjoy the buffet breakfast 😅). Overall, if you stay in the hotel, I still don’t recommend buying this afternoon tea, but if you don’t stay in the hotel, you can buy it for the view.

This restaurant is located in the ancient town of Daxu, facing the river, which is probably why it is named "Ancient Town Jiangjing". The restaurant mainly serves local specialties. The candied taro is OK when eaten hot, but the batter is a bit thick on the outside, which makes it sticky. The garlic scallops taste good, with moderate saltiness, but there are a lot of vermicelli, which makes the scallops look smaller. The pumpkin vine skin has been removed, and it feels very tender and refreshing.

It was very worrying to find a new economy restaurant. It's a relatively large restaurant with a parking lot. The environment is good and it's built on the riverside. The wine and food are very good, the taste is great, the portions are large, the prices are very favorable, and the phenomenon is very high. I didn't expect that in this large ancient town, 19 years ago, this restaurant was opened.
