Given my endless love for snail noodles, I decided to go to Liuzhou to taste the most authentic snail noodles there! Wow, the whole city is filled with the aroma of snail noodles. Everyone on the return high-speed train is holding a bowl of snail noodles! 🏨Accommodation We chose Liuzhou Southeast Dream Hotel (Poly Plaza Branch). Only 420r for two nights, very cost-effective, the environment is quiet and clean, not noisy at all. The room is also equipped with smart control devices, and the lady at the front desk is also very enthusiastic. There is a new affordable beef offal restaurant downstairs, although we didn’t try it because we couldn’t eat it all. Caomei Snail Noodles and Ajiao Snail Noodles are within walking distance, and it is also very convenient to take a taxi~ 🚗Transportation We took the high-speed train from Guangzhou South to Liuzhou Station, which only cost 450r round trip. In Liuzhou, we always take taxis, the starting price is only 6r, which is very cheap and affordable. Besides the snail noodles, the desserts are also delicious. 🌟Yunling 58 Ice Cream Tucked away in a small alley, this dessert shop serves the local signature tofu pudding, which is delicious. 🌟Zhang Fei Cassava Soup Best recommendation: The original cassava soup, the cassava is perfectly cooked, with a firm and soft texture. I chose this one mainly because the fried egg is runny! The noodles are naturally delicious, too. Highly recommended. 🌟Yaobu Ancient Town Sister Lu's Fried Ice Cream: Avocado and coconut milk fried ice cream is absolutely amazing. Xie Min's Sour Ice Cream: The mango, radish, jerk, and guava varieties are all excellent. The plum and cabbage varieties were a bit disappointing. There are many snack shops and restaurants in the ancient town, but since we were on a tight schedule, we didn't stay long. 🌟Mengji Soy Milk I went to find Zeng Jie's soy milk shop in Shuinan, but it was closed. I ended up trying Mengji Soy Milk across the street. Best recommendation: The combination of iced soy milk, fried dough sticks, and fried dough sticks is absolutely amazing. The iced soy milk was a bit sweet, and the fried dough sticks were a bit thicker, but not as good as at Shengli BBQ City. Misfortunes: The fried cake had a texture similar to dorayaki and was just average; the egg rolls were too sweet, too greasy, and too sticky! Order with caution! They closed at 2:00 PM, but we arrived at 2:10 PM. He said they were out of rice noodles and told me to go to the next door noodle shop and get a bowl of vegetarian rice noodles for him to heat up. He actually did. They even gave us a lot of extra toppings and gave us some leftover beef jerky and pickles. The owner is so kind! No wonder their business is so booming, selling 800 bowls a day! 👏🏻👏🏻 🌟 Yaoji Tofu Pudding at Beizhan: They only offer three desserts: tofu pudding, corn syrup, and black and white jelly. The syrup is quite rich, but I still don't think it's worth the trip. For the tofu pudding syrup, I'd still vote for Yunling 58 Bing. 🌟 Xinyue Snail Noodles The taste is average. The more distinctive part is the runny braised egg, which is absolutely delicious. However, the noodles aren't as good as Feizi or Luoyi.
