I've brought my kid here before, and their cart noodles are definitely to kids' liking. My usually picky eater actually finished a whole bowl this time. I suggest you bring your kids to try it too, just don't order the spicy version.
The sweetness in this restaurant's dishes is handled quite interestingly. It's not the kind of cloyingly sweet sauce; it's the natural sweetness of the ingredients themselves. For example, the signature braised pork belly is cooked until the sugar is thoroughly caramelized, giving the meat a subtle caramel aroma, and it's not greasy even at the very end. I suggest telling the waiter to "use less rock sugar" when ordering, as the sweetness will be more mellow.
French fries are absolutely amazing when they're fresh out of the oven—crispy on the outside and steaming hot inside. You have to eat them while they're hot; they don't taste nearly as good when they're cold.
