The Pingxiang dishes are quite distinctive, taste good and are not expensive. I recommend their Pingxiang dishes, but the lobster I ordered last time was not very tasty!

On the evening of August 1, 2025, we drove 630 kilometers north from Guangzhou to Pingxiang, the western gateway of Jiangxi Province. A friend from Pingxiang and his family were in attendance, hosting us at Huang&#39;ai Ecological Restaurant, a popular local restaurant. My son was also happy to see his good brother, playing and joking around, and we were so happy.

Huang&#39;ai Ecological Restaurant, located in Pingxiang, China&#39;s spicy capital, is a renowned large-scale restaurant that has attracted the attention of many in the catering industry with its unique business model and exquisite presentation of ingredients. All dishes are displayed live, allowing customers to order as they please, truly experiencing the traditional &agrave; la carte dining experience. It is arguably the most popular spicy chicken in open-air dining.

The smoked bacon is exceptionally thick, with the perfect balance of fat and lean meat, and the fat has a crisp texture. It is not greasy, and is salty and flavorful, making it incredibly delicious. Pingxiang stir-fried pork is stir-fried with plenty of chili peppers, garlic, and fermented black beans, until the meat slices are lightly charred and fragrant. It&#39;s incredibly spicy, savory, and flavorful, yet not greasy. Unlike Hunan stir-fried pork, this dish is served in a bowl instead of a plate, creating a simmering broth that&#39;s rich with the aroma of the wok.

Lotus Blood Duck: Tender duck meat is chopped into minute pieces and evenly coated with duck blood, creating a maroon paste. After a thorough stir-fry, the dish emerges steaming hot, rich and spicy, with a distinct aroma of duck blood and wine.

The rice served here is custom-made Heilongjiang Wuchang rice, with one pot per table!
