The taste is really good!! The seafood is fresh and the home cooking is very good. The price is reasonable!! Very satisfied
🌊4-Day, 3-Night Relaxing Guide to Rizhao | A Seafood Paradise Under ¥1,000 Per Person, a More Relaxing Ocean Viewing Trip Than Sanya~ I highly recommend relaxing in Rizhao! No need to rush to tourist attractions, just sleep in naturally, enjoy the sea breeze and eat seafood—that's the true way to spend a vacation😌 👉Day 1: Relaxing by the Sea 📍Wanpingkou Beach (Haiqu East Road, Donggang District, Rizhao): Free! Just like Sanya's coconut-lined beach, with fewer crowds and beautiful scenery, the beach swings are perfect for photo ops. 📍Chocolate Fisherman (Wanpingkou Branch): Over ¥60 per person, eat until you're full! Steamed seafood in a steam pot, freshly caught and steamed, and the Spanish mackerel dumplings are a must-try. 👉Day 2: Fishing Village Exploration 📍Renjiatai Fishing Village (Shanhaitian Tourist Resort, Donggang District): A truly pristine fishing village, watching the fishing boats return to port in the evening is truly relaxing. 📍Seafood Market (inside the fishing village): Mantis shrimp 15 yuan per pound, swimming crab 30 yuan per head... Enjoy seafood freedom! 👉Day 3: Artistic Check-in Day 📍Rizhao Ocean Aesthetics Museum (Bihai Road, Donggang District): A seaside cafe and internet-famous bookstore, sit by the floor-to-ceiling windows and gaze at the sea in a trance. 📍Qianwangyuan Fishing House: A hidden gem in a fishing village, the seafood dumpling soup will make you drop eyebrows. 👉Day 4: The final madness before leaving. 📍Shijiu Market: Dried hairtail, dried shrimp, dried shrimp...a box of seafood souvenirs for just over 100 yuan. ✨Private Tips: 1. Seafood is a bit more expensive from June to September when the sea is closed. It's recommended to go after the sea reopens in September. 2. Be cautious about restaurants recommended by taxi drivers; go directly to established restaurants in residential areas. 3. If you want to go catching some seafood, check the tide table in advance. You can find small crabs at Renjiatai Rock Beach. 🐚Food Hot List: ▫ Haisha Noodles - University Town Night Market (Yantai Road, Donggang District) ▫ Grilled Squid - Wang Jie BBQ at University Town Night Market ▫ Seafood Pancakes - Any restaurant in Shijiu Old Town is delicious. 🏡Accommodation Recommendations: We recommend staying near Wanpingkou. Our stay at "Na Pian Hai B&B" was a 5-minute walk to the beach and only NT$80 per night. #BeachVacation #RizhaoFood #NicheTravelDestinations #SanyaPingShan #SeafoodFree
It wasn't until I arrived at Rizhao Beach that I realized 😤 that all the guides I'd read were superficial! I didn't understand this ahead of time‼ ️ and almost spent money and went to the wrong places... Here's my personal guide to sea life, if you want to go, check it out now... Real Experiences ⛵ World Sailing Base Arriving here, I was immediately struck by the harbor full of sailboats⛵. The blue hulls contrasted with the blue sky and sea 🌊, a truly relaxing sight. I didn't dare try sailing, so I just strolled along the pier 🚶, enjoying the sea breeze and watching others sail out to sea. It felt so relaxing 😌. There's a drink stall near the pier 🥤, but the prices are a bit higher than in the city. If you're thirsty, bring your own bottle of water 💧. 🌅 Wanpingkou Scenic Area I booked a hotel nearby 🏨 and walked there around 4:00 AM to wait for the sunrise 🌅. Watching the sun slowly emerge from the sea, its color changing from orange to golden 🧡, was so dreamy ✨! A phone can't capture that beauty 📱. The scenic beach trail is perfect for a stroll 🚶, but it can be a bit windy in the morning 💨, so I recommend wearing a light jacket 🧥. 🎡Rizhao Ocean Park I took my nephew with me 👶. He stared at the penguin enclosure, unable to move 🐧. The little penguins' wobbly walks were so fascinating. The jellyfish enclosure has so many different jellyfish 🪼 that it was almost dazzling 👀. Reserve a seat for the mermaid show before it starts 💺, otherwise you'll have to stand at the back to watch. The air conditioning is on full blast ❄️, so it's a good idea to bring a small jacket for your child 🧥. 🏖Third Beach We went around 3:00 PM ⏰, and the sun wasn't very strong ☀️ yet. I recommend going after 4:00 PM. The beach felt soft 🏖, and the water wasn't cold 🌊. We rented a small tent⛺ and rested in it when we got tired 😴. There's a footbath area on the shore 🚿, but it's charged 💴. It gets crowded in the evening 👥, so if you want to try some water activities, get there early and queue up 🎢. Food Experience 🍽Chocolate Fisherman (Elephant International Branch) Upon arrival, I ordered live abalone and shrimp 🦐. I'd been craving them for a while 😋, and they're all made to order 🔥. The mohe sauce paired with the steamed buns was incredibly fragrant 🍚, and the sea urchin dumplings revealed the tangy sea urchin meat when I bit into them 🥟. This is a chain restaurant 🏪, so it's less crowded than other places, so there's no need to wait ⏳. 🥟Kuan Pozi - Seafood Pot Stickers I ordered the signature Spanish mackerel pot stickers 🥟. The skin was fried to a crispy crisp 🔥 and bursting with juice 💦. The filling was generous 👍. The wood-fired tofu pancake was incredibly filling 🫓; I could eat one for half a day 😋. The secret sauce was incredibly delicious 🧂 🥩An Youpang BBQ The secret Wusangge is a must-try 🥩! Grilled to a sizzling sizzle 🔥 and wrapped in lettuce 🥬, it's incredibly satisfying 😋. Their sea mushroom bibimbap is also delicious 🍚. The staff will help you grill the meat 👩🍳, and the service is very attentive 💖. It's a little pricey 💴 🍰 Li Qi Dessert Shop Their tiger skin taro rolls are amazing 🍰. Layer upon layer, the taro paste is incredibly smooth and fluffy 🥞, with just the right amount of sweetness 🍬, and not at all greasy 😋. The Napoleon pastry is also good 🥧, with a very crispy pastry. The shop is just a little hard to find in a tucked-away corner 🚶 ❗Recommendation: The Rizhao beach can be quite windy 💨, so even in the summer, it's best to bring a light jacket 🧥. Taxi service is easy from the city center to the tourist attractions 🚗, and the starting price is affordable 💴, so you don't have to look for buses 🚌. #RizhaoTravel #RizhaoFood #RizhaoWorldSailingBase #SeafoodFood #TravelGuide #RizhaoCheck-In #CoastalCity #RizhaoBBQ

Shijiu Market: Choose a place with clearly marked prices and let the owner create local specialties. The portions are generous and you won't be overpriced. Recommended restaurants include "Haiwanli" and "Chocolate Fisherman," both frequented by locals! 🦐 Where to eat seafood in Rizhao? ✔️ Shijiu Market A local's "seafood kitchen"! Follow this guide to Rizhao—this is how the locals do it. Rizhao locals aren't shy about these free, photogenic spots—you absolutely have to visit them. Follow this guide to save time, money, and effort, and enjoy great food and fun. 🌅 Wanpingkou Personal Experience A trip to Rizhao is a must-visit for Wanpingkou! The sand is soft, the water is crystal clear, and just walking barefoot is incredibly relaxing. Gate 1: Check out the Wanpingkou Stone Stele and Tidal Tower; half an hour is plenty for just strolling. Gate 3: A popular photo spot! There are plenty of swings and glass houses, but during peak season, they're packed after 9 PM, so get there early if you want clear backgrounds. 🏛️ Rizhao Museum Postscript A great place to escape the summer heat with plenty of air conditioning! The artifacts on the second floor range from the Stone Age to the Qing Dynasty, like flipping through a history book. The souvenirs on the third floor are a bit pricey, so I bought a bookmark just for the sake of it. The entire visit took about two hours. 🪨 A reminder about Renjiatai Reef Park When the tide goes out, you'll find tiny crabs and clams hiding in the cracks of the rocks. Picking them up is a real joy. However, the rocks are incredibly slippery, and I almost fell. Anyone looking to catch some seafood here should definitely wear non-slip shoes. 🌉 A look at the lighthouse scenic area The landmark lighthouse is truly beautiful when illuminated at night, and taking photos on the reef during the day is also fantastic. The biggest drawback is the difficulty of parking. On weekends, it takes half an hour to get a spot. It's better to just take the bus. 🍽️ A real-life dining experience 🦪 Chocolate Fisherman (Elephant International Branch) After walking around MixC, I stumbled upon this branch! No need to wait in line, the seafood is freshly caught and eaten, and one set meal is enough for two people. The grouper is tender but boney, so it's not suitable for me, who doesn't like to spit out bones. 🫓 Kuanpozi - Seafood Pot Stickers The signature pot stickers burst with broth, and the first bite is super fresh, but three in a row can get greasy. The hot and sour cucumber is just the right amount to cut through the greasiness. 🥩 Jiang Baofu BBQ The 69 yuan buffet is great value, with all-you-can-eat beef and pork, and the Korean rice cake is surprisingly delicious. After 7pm, the menu slows down, so if you want the popular dishes, get there early. 🍡 Xiaotie Nuojiji Dessert lovers will love it! The glutinous rice dumplings coated in soybean flour are sweet and soft, but the five servings are a bit small, so we ordered another box to take away. #Rizhao Travel Guide#Rizhao Guide#Rizhao Seafood Hunting#Where to Eat Seafood in Rizhao#Local Guide#Rizhao Travel Guide#Rizhao Travel Diary
