On April 9, the birthday of Guanyin Bodhisattva, I went to the popular Xiyuan Temple with my friends to worship. We set off from home at 7 o'clock in the morning and arrived in more than an hour. There were already quite a few people, and there was a queue for vegetarian noodles. It took us more than 2 hours to worship and walk around the back garden. Then we went to eat vegetarian noodles. The queue was very long, but the speed was faster than expected. But in fact, I felt that the taste would cater to diners from all sides. It was not as sweet as Suzhou noodles. The sweetness was not fresh enough, so it was just average. Finally, I queued up to buy vegetarian bags. Each bag of 5 was pre-packed. I bought 4 bags, and when I got home, I found that there were only 4 in one bag, so I gave it as a merit to the incense money.

The vegetarian noodles at Xiyuan Temple are very famous. I ordered Guanyin noodles, which cost 15 yuan. Then I took the receipt and took the noodles by myself. The noodles contained mushrooms, bamboo shoots, and fried gluten. Although it was cooked in a big pot, it tasted really good.

Xiyuan Temple Vegetarian Liuyuan Road Store is located in Xiyuan Temple. Vegetarian noodles and vegetarian buns are not sold together, so you have to buy them separately. There are red bean paste buns and cabbage buns, etc. The buns are sold in batches of 5. I saw that several people in front were buying red bean paste buns, and they lined up until the red bean paste buns were sold out. Vegetarian buns are also OK. The price is cheap ~

This vegetarian restaurant is located in Xiyuan Temple. It was under renovation some time ago and has reopened now. In fact, the things you buy are similar to the past, mainly vegetarian noodles. There are steamed buns and rice on the menu, but in fact, you can't eat these in the store. You can only eat two kinds of vegetarian noodles. Ruyi noodles and Guanyin noodles, the price is not expensive, I like the Guanyin noodles for 15 yuan. The soup base of the two noodles is actually the same, but the toppings are different. Ruyi noodles are grilled gluten toppings, and Guanyin noodles have mushrooms and bamboo shoots. I bought their vegetarian buns many years ago, but they have not been available since then. I asked the waiter when they would be sold. The waiter couldn't give a specific time, it seems that this depends on luck. The waiter will bring the noodles to the table.

Xiyuan Temple, under the fame of Suzhou gardens, is not very well-known to tourists, but it is a nearly 700-year-old temple from the Yuan Dynasty, and was rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty. The vegetarian restaurant in the temple was also an unexpected surprise of this unplanned trip. It is definitely worth a visit. It is the most delicious vegetarian noodles I have ever eaten in the temple. The name is also very Zen. The toppings are refreshing and the taste is naturally delicious. The decoration is also antique and integrated with the temple. There are vegetarian buns for sale in the front yard. I directly took a bag of five. If I hadn’t been going to the zoo for a day, I would definitely pack more.

When I went there, there were not many people in the vegetarian restaurant. I still had the same dishes, and the taste was okay. After eating the vegetarian food, I went to the release pond and saw a group of different ducks. The ducks are the elves of the release pond of Xiyuan Temple. They swim freely, are not afraid of strangers or people, and are enthusiastic and unrestrained, adding bright colors to the serious place.
