🏮I&#39;ve been dreaming of an authentic Taiwanese meal, which is one of the most important things I&#39;ve done in Taiwan. Unfortunately, Mingfu and Dasanyuan were fully booked early. Fortunately, my local friends recommended &quot;Xing Penglai&quot; in Tianmu, and I was able to book a lunch seat temporarily. This Taiwanese restaurant has been around for 60 years, so I have to try it.

⏳Xing Penglai: Founded in Tianmu in 1987, it has moved twice and is now in the hands of the second generation. It has been on the Michelin plate for several consecutive years. As a time-honored Taiwanese restaurant, it is a representative of Tianmu cuisine and is also loved by many celebrities.

🍽Today&#39;s order:
🐣Boiled free-range chicken ($420): The signature boiled chicken in the store is very different from the boiled chicken I usually eat. The meat is plump and thick, tender and delicious. It is one of the traditional famous dishes of Taiwanese cuisine. Two people can choose half a chicken. Free-range chicken is also often used as scallion chicken and three-cup chicken;

🍞Soft jade crispy tofu ($200/four pieces): The fried tofu is not greasy at all, which surprised us. The special sauce next to it is full of bean flavor, not to mention the rich layers inside, with tofu, sesame, shrimp and ham, which is super delicious; and what is even more surprising is that the snack next to it is actually an old-fashioned snack with porridge - bean dates, which are popular in Taiwan It is rare in the north;

🥘Sesame oil kidney ($380): I like sesame oil series of food, and sesame oil kidney is my favorite. The one here is very fresh and well processed, without any fishy smell. Even friends who don&rsquo;t like to eat offal praised it;

🍲Clam soup ($200): The boss took the initiative to recommend this soup to us when he saw that we ordered three dishes. It is a standard Taiwanese garlic clam soup, very sweet and fresh. I can&rsquo;t help but drink a bowl after taking a sip. I ordered a small portion but it was still full;

🏠This old shop in Tianmu has a long history. The shop has also maintained a vintage decoration. The glass cabinet at the door displays the awards it has won, and the wall is inscribed by celebrities;
🛎We went in at noon when the door opened. It is estimated that there are not many customers on weekdays. The seats by the window can also enjoy the scenery. The overall dining atmosphere is very comfortable.

🎀The boss is very enthusiastic and personally introduced the dishes. He will not exaggerate. Seeing that the two girls don&rsquo;t eat too much, he also recommended the right portion to us;
💁The staff are very diligent and make various preparations on the table next to them. When checking out, they still use the very old-fashioned handwritten bill.

1010 Hunan is also a chain restaurant. We went to the branch in Taipei Mitsukoshi Tianmu. The environment is really nice. The best dish is the spicy boiled fish, which is not spicy enough.

The pork chop is very crispy and the cabbage salad is endless

The curry rice is delicious. It is cooked in a clay pot and tastes a bit like Fujian clay pot rice. The roasted potatoes in lotus leaves are delicious, and the white side dish tastes a bit like yogurt.
