Xia Lian Fu Ji is an old hotel that serves morning tea, lunch, dinner and supper. It has a lobby and private rooms, with the capacity of one to ten tables. It is quite large, the servings are good and the taste is pretty good.

The environment is OK and it is very popular. Most of the people are there for breakfast. They want to try local dishes when they come to Wuxi. Two of us ordered a serving of sweet and sour pork ribs, a dish of stir-fried eel with onions, a dish of four-happiness gluten, and two bowls of red scene. The total was 127 yuan. We could get a 20 yuan discount by scanning the code. The dishes were quite big and one bowl of noodles was enough for two people. Most of the people were local residents. There is free parking at the door. I recommend it.

This is a long-standing restaurant with excellent value for money. We two couldn't finish our meal. The flavors were lighter this time, and the line was quite long. The shrimp dumplings, lava buns, and the rice noodle rolls, which I tried today, were amazing.

Wuxi is considered to be a restaurant with a long history of serving morning tea. Thanks to its persistence, Wuxi people can taste Cantonese tea snacks. I arrived at the hotel at 10:30 in the morning. Because there was a banquet today, there was only one table left in the hall. I was lucky. After taking a seat, I ordered tea. Although it clearly stated the tea fee, there was no seat, but the waiter said that only a few people could order one pot. I was a little annoyed. The service speed was acceptable. The tea snacks were almost identical to the Cantonese style. They were delicious, especially the shrimp dumplings.

I have to say Xia Lian's Chinese food is getting better and better. We chose this place for a gathering with friends, and the price per person was over 200 yuan. The roast duck is truly delicious, sliced fresh on the spot. Start with the original roast duck skin, dipped in sugar, and it's incredibly fragrant and juicy. The steamed buns are also delicious. And the Qiandao Lake fish head was incredibly gelatinous and tender, paired perfectly with steamed buns! The private dining room is a delightful setting, and the service is a big thumbs up.

Xia Lian Fu Ji in Zhongqiao is the first restaurant on the east end of Hubin Commercial Street, with dedicated parking in the entrance square. It's been growing in recent years, with both dining rooms and private rooms upstairs and downstairs. They've been innovating their menu, and this year they added a tea restaurant, which has been very well received. The dishes are mostly affordable, and the flavors are excellent. I love their Liangxi crispy eel, which is sweet but not greasy, and crispy but not tough.

Xia Lian Fu Ji Restaurant is located right on Zhongqiao, at the entrance of Hubin Commercial Street, and has a great location. Originally, they only served Chinese food, but now they offer authentic Cantonese dim sum, earning a strong reputation. Give it a try; the food is authentic, and the ingredients are carefully selected and clean.
