We recommend going in the afternoon; the Yulong River at sunset is breathtaking! We recommend arriving at 7:00 AM for less crowds and better lighting; the reflection of Elephant Trunk Hill on the Li River is breathtaking. The scenic area isn't large; you can explore it in about an hour. Shui'edi Wharf Rafting📍No. 12-1, Shui'edi Village, Guangcheng Line The most scenic section of the Yulong River rafting! Remember to book tickets online in advance, as the queues on-site are extremely long. The entire trip takes about 90 minutes and includes 9 dams—super thrilling! Be sure to try the "Shui'edi Renjia" restaurant at the wharf! Their beer-braised fish and stuffed snails are amazing! 【Night View】 Two Rivers and Four Lakes 📍No. 5 Binjiang Road Recommended: Take a boat tour at night to see the night view (adult ticket 160 RMB)! The Sun and Moon Twin Towers are breathtakingly beautiful when lit up, and the boat also provides commentary on Guilin's history and culture. The boat ride past the ship lift is particularly interesting. 【Must-Visit Cultural Site】 Jingjiang Prince's Mansion 📍Within Yangshuo Eternal Love Scenic Area ⏰Open 14:00-21:00 A Ming Dynasty prince's mansion, the well-preserved ancient city walls and gate towers are incredibly photogenic. The aroma of rice mixed with the fragrance of bamboo is a perfect match. 2. Lao Dongjiang Rice Noodles on Zhengyang Pedestrian Street, with a rich and fragrant braised sauce. 3. Sister Xie's Beer Fish on West Street in Yangshuo, with tender and flavorful fish. 🚗Transportation Tips: - From Guilin to Yangshuo, it is recommended to take a cruise (4 hours) or a bus (1.5 hours). - Taxis are readily available in the city and at attractions, with a starting fare of only 7 yuan. - Rent an electric bike in Yangshuo for 30 yuan/day; riding along the Ten-Mile Gallery is super fun. My stay at BO·Hui Hotel (Yangshuo West Street Lijiang Branch) coincided with Halloween, and the hotel's elaborate Halloween decorations instantly captured my heart 🎃 Even more surprising was the complimentary photographer service provided by the hotel; the final photos were absolutely stunning, and the retouching was divine! 🌿First Impressions From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I was captivated—the black-themed wabi-sabi design exuded sophistication. The receptionist warmly offered me osmanthus tea, its delicate fragrance instantly soothing my travel fatigue. The attentive butler even helped with my luggage to the room, introducing the hotel facilities and nearby attractions along the way—this kind of butler service is truly rare in Yangshuo! 🛏️Room Highlights I stayed in a river-view room! The floor-to-ceiling windows offered breathtaking views of the Lijiang River, and the balcony provided a view of the misty river at dawn. The room's smart home control system was amazing; a simple "Xiaodu" (a smart speaker) controlled all the appliances. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and the bathtub with its stunning mountain view was a brilliant touch! 🌸Excellent Location: The hotel is situated at the end of West Street, right on the banks of the Li River – a truly prime location! It's a 2-minute walk to West Street for dining, super convenient, yet you can walk back completely undisturbed. The bamboo rice is bursting with aroma the moment it's opened. The ultimate dish is the Lipu Taro Braised Pork. The dense taro is wrapped in fatty yet not greasy pork belly, making it a perfect pairing with rice! The signature beer fish arrived sizzling. The fish, braised in Liquan beer, was so tender it fell apart with chopsticks. I could have eaten three bowls of the spicy broth mixed with rice! At just over 60 yuan per person, you'll be stuffed. Remember to get a window seat on the second floor. Enjoy your meal while watching the bamboo rafts drift by – that's the true way to experience Yangshuo!
