Of course, you have to taste the top-quality lion head when you come here. It tastes good and has rich connotations. Of course, the price is not cheap. Such a big one must be shared by several people. Other dishes such as Wensi tofu soup and boiled dried silk can only be considered satisfactory.

We drove 13 hours from Shanghai to Yangzhou. While we didn't come here for the Lion House, we stopped here for our first meal! As for the taste, well, it's a matter of personal preference. I felt the meat was too starchy, and the fat-to-lean ratio was a bit too fatty for my taste. It really only works with the sauce. There are two salted egg yolks in the middle, so I recommend sharing. Wensi Tofu Soup: A must-get five-star rating. The broth is rich and flavorful, without any beany smell. The tofu shreds are a true test of the chef's skill. Huaiyang Stir-fried Soft Pork Buns: This is probably a specialty of Huaiyang cuisine. It's similar to a stir-fry, with onions on the bottom and long strips of eel shreds, topped with a few slices of garlic. Compared to local dishes, my friend found it a bit salty, but it was actually okay. The biggest problem was that the flavors weren't fully absorbed, and the seasoning was superficial. I wonder if it was because there were so many people. Yangzhou Fried Rice: Another slightly disappointing dish. I'd seen comments about the rice being too hard, and I figured everyone's tolerance for rice was different, so I didn't think much of it. But after trying it, I realized it wasn't just a little bit hard; it completely affected the quality and taste of the fried rice! We also ordered dried bean curd, but it wasn't delivered by the time we finished our meal, so we returned it. The lobby was awful, with seats spaced very close together. Perhaps because it's so close to the tourist attractions, it's probably full of tourists. When you're in Yangzhou, you have to try it. After trying it, I've left it as is.
