柒冶I visited Bijiang Jinlou when I came to Shunde for a tour. It was lunchtime when I came out. I saw a sign recommending Deyunju. I also read the reviews online. I thought it was good, so I tried it. The location was easy to find. It took only a few minutes to follow the signs. The environment was very good and the air was fresh. There were koi in the river. There were many dishes to choose from. I wanted to try them, but there were too few people. I only chose some of the more recommended ones to taste. While waiting for the dishes to be served, I sat on a rocking chair by the river to enjoy the koi. I recommend it to visit and taste it. I personally recommend dishes like Shunde fried milk, crispy shell and rich milky filling, soft and glutinous/roast goose is tasty and crispy skin. Don’t miss it if you like crispy roast goose/bamboo lamb pot, bean curd sticks are used as the base to absorb the rich juice. The lamb is a bit chewy but very tasty. I still recommend it! It was a very satisfying experience. I will come to Shunde next time to try other recommended dishes!

Compared with the pork trotter ginger I had in the alley in Guangzhou before, the one in this restaurant is a bit too sweet, covering up the taste of ginger. The porridge is a bit too sticky. Of course, most hotels make it like this for convenience and speed, which is not as authentic as the ones on the street. The service is still quite thoughtful.
