They are all traditional German food, but they are made in small portions and have some innovations. Yesterday, my friend said he wanted some, so from the aperitif, to the white wine, to the final dessert wine, they were all local wines produced in Germany. For the appetizers, we ordered bean soup and German pickled fish. For the main course, I think he ordered the entire menu. My personal favorite is the blood sausage, which has a slightly sweet taste. I also highly recommend the beef, which is marinated with red wine and cherries. I don’t usually eat beef, but I ate one portion without any pressure this time. In the end, the dessert was just a little sour, not my favorite dessert, but it is indeed a classic German dessert. The environment of the entire restaurant is also very good. I highly recommend this restaurant as a must-try.

We didn't have a reservation and just squeezed in for dinner, probably because it was so early (we were told we had to leave by 7:30). It was a bit chaotic but fun, packed with locals, almost all of whom were drinking cider. The food was good, especially the blood liver sausage on the meat platter. People were laughing and singing, and the entertainment was obviously fun, but we didn't understand German and could only smile and chat. Please note that it is cash only, don't expect to get change.
We arrived without a reservation but were greeted very warmly and the food was served in about 15 minutes. We had steak and sausages which were very generous and we were not disappointed. This is a very traditional German restaurant and it was a pleasure to eat here.
Traditional German restaurant. The long old wooden table in the restaurant allows strangers to chat and eat at the same table. Ebbelwoi Frankfurt specialty apple wine is brewed from a mixture of different sour apples, and the cups used to hold the wine are specially selected from traditional Geripptes. Grillrippchen is a specialty of Hesse. The pork chop is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The choice of side dishes is also very sophisticated, with sauerkraut with apple slices and mashed potatoes with a delicate and fragrant taste. If you want to experience German restaurant culture, this is definitely not to be missed.
My favourite was the German giant meatballs, which were light and tasty, and came with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. We also tried a plate of local cheese and an egg dish, and washed it down with a bottle of local wine, the food was very simple but very tasty.
