Gasthaus Kater Alex

a ten minute walk from the train and we were in food heaven. the mixed grill was wunderbar. Such a large portion, well cooked and great value for money. hugely recommended.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Gasthaus Kater Alex, a charming German restaurant located in the suburbs. The restaurant is extremely easy to reach by metro, which made the journey effortless. The highlight of our meal was the delicious pork cutlets served with potatoes—unique and flavorful, cooked with onions and pancetta that added a lovely touch. The local wine complemented the dishes perfectly, enhancing the authentic German flavors.The service was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and very considerate, which made us feel truly welcomed. Overall, a fantastic place for a hearty and satisfying meal in a relaxed setting. Highly recommended!

Casual, local restaurant. Food was good, portions were large and the prices were fair. If I lived in Berlin, it would be one of my regular spots!

I had a wonderful time. The venue is cozy and welcoming. The food, presentation, and service are stellar. And this is all at a very affordable price. This little restaurant is a labor of love and a gem.
