We have had many meals at the Smuggiers Rest Peacehaven in the past for different occasions as it is quite close to home,  We booked this our 28th wedding anniversary at short notice, And had another very enjoyable meal looked after by a very attentive waiter called Addison which made it all very pleasant meal/evening,

Portions are generous for the price. Food was fresh, and it was ready exactly when they said it would be.

Nice spot for a coffee with the pup. Atmosphere is relaxed. Their almond croissant was decent, but the real winner was pairing it with a proper flat white &ndash; the coffee held up well against the pastry&#39;s sweetness. Just a bit pricey for a quick stop.

Harvey&#39;s ales are the star here. The cask ale was so fresh, just perfect. You can even grab some bottles from the shop across the road to take home. A proper pint. 🍺

The toasted cheese &amp; chutney ciabatta was spot on for a light lunch. Saw some massive burgers go by that looked incredible too.

Came here for the first time and really enjoyed the pork belly. The welcome cocktail was a nice surprise. Service was attentive without being overbearing.

Afternoon tea was a treat. The sausage rolls were the standout - clearly homemade, flaky pastry and well-seasoned filling. Sandwiches and scones were solid. A nice, leisurely way to spend an afternoon.

Lovely relaxed spot for lunch. They&#39;re dog-friendly which is a bonus. The board games are a nice touch, made for a very chilled afternoon. Service was friendly and prompt. Food was good, no complaints at all.

The full English breakfast was really well done. The bacon was crisp, the eggs just right, and the presentation on the plate was lovely. It&rsquo;s a solid choice if you&#39;re after a proper, filling start to the day.

The portions are huge here, especially the pasta dishes. We shared a couple of mains between three and still had leftovers to take home. For the price, you really get a lot of food.

Blake was so cheerful when we stopped by for a late lunch with friends. Really made the vibe, even when we were just hanging out and chatting for ages.

The new spot by Anne of Cleves House is a nice upgrade. It feels much more spacious and cosy, a lovely historic setting to enjoy a meal. The food was pretty good, though service was a bit slow at times.

The vegan options here are a lifesaver for our group. My friend loved the Korean burger, and I tried the Tofish and chips - actually tasted like the real deal! Perfect for when you&#39;ve got mixed diets.

Popped in for a light lunch while wandering around Lewes. The soup and focaccia was the perfect choice - really flavourful and surprisingly filling for something so simple. The other dishes on the menu looked tempting, I&#39;ll have to come back to try them.
