The reindeer fillet was really tender, proper flavor in every bite. That was the standout for me. Staff handled my food allergy questions without making me feel awkward about it. Place itself is fine, nothing fancy but comfortable enough. Just wish the portions were a bit bigger for what you pay. Solid meal overall though.

Came here with a couple of friends after a walk along the docks. I got the mackerel and honestly it was so fresh, like you could tell it hadn’t been sitting around. The view of the fjord from the table made it even better. Service was chill, not rushed at all. Only thing is it’s a bit pricey for what you get, but I’d still come back for that fish 😊

The cakes aren’t what they used to be, but the coffee still hits the spot. Such a pretty location though. Tables weren’t cleared right away, which was a bit annoying. Service felt a little uneven, but I’d still stop by for a cup if I’m in the area.

Been coming here for a while now, and the veal still holds up. Cooked just right, with those veggies that are a bit different from the usual. Sat outside this time, summer evening and all, pretty nice. Place gets busy, but they manage. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. Solid choice if you're in the area and want something reliable.

Stopped by for lunch and had the seafood — pretty fresh, no complaints. Irish coffee was decent too, probably the best I had during the trip. Sat outside, weather was nice, made it easy to stay a bit longer. Service was fine, nothing fancy. Wouldn't mind going back if I'm in the area again.

The herring sandwich was properly seasoned, not too salty. Loved the little backyard seating area, felt very tucked away.

The pasta was decent, but honestly the burger stole the show. Didn’t expect that from an Italian place. Portions are a bit small for what you pay though. I’d go back for that burger again, just maybe not for the pasta.

Great pizza and the outdoor seating was a nice bonus. Staff were friendly enough, didn't have to wait long for anything.

Friendly staff, herring sandwich was solid. Kids liked their pasta too. Place feels like they actually care about the food.

Solid Thai food and the price is fair for central Skien. Staff were friendly, service quick even though I just popped in for takeout. Nothing fancy but it does the job. The seating area is a bit cramped though, not somewhere I'd linger long. Fine for a quick bite.

Fun summer spot with a proper party vibe. The drinks were solid and the staff actually seemed happy to be there. 🍹

The chocolate fondant was solid. Risotto had the right texture but kinda lacked flavor. Fine for a casual dinner, nothing crazy.

The mussels were really good, that’s for sure. But I had to ask for the menu myself after waiting a while. Service was a bit slow, not the most attentive. I’d still go back for the food, just maybe not on a busy night. Cozy enough place, though.

Stopped by for lunch and got the risotto. It was good, really creamy, but honestly the portion felt a bit small for the price. I get that it's a nice place with the terrace and all, but I left still a little hungry. They did bring water for our dog though, which was a nice touch. Just wish the plate was a bit more generous.

Lamb vindaloo was spot on. Rich heat, proper spice level. Got my food fast, no hanging around. That's what I need on a lunch break. Place was busy but they kept it moving. Solid if you want a quick curry fix without the wait.

The wasabi actually has a kick to it, not that fake paste stuff. Sushi rice was cooked properly, good texture. Owner seemed to know what he was doing. Service was quick even though it was packed. Just the food though, that's what matters.

Great spot for a casual drink if you're into live music. Cozy vibe, though it got pretty packed and loud on Saturday night.

The view from Brekkeparken over Skien is really something else. We just grabbed a coffee and sat outside for a while. The cafe itself is nice enough, but the food menu is pretty small. I ended up paying a bit more than I expected for what was basically a light snack. Fine for the scenery, but don't come starving.
