Great spot for a pint after seeing the cathedral. The tap list had a few local ales I hadn't tried before.

Staff were lovely, really helpful with the pram. Food came quick and the portions are huge. Had a nice glass of red with the steak, worked well. A solid spot for a family meal.

The Dover sole was spot on, just fell off the bone. The samphire and crevettes were a nice touch. Desserts tasted properly homemade.

Generous portions for the price. The wine list had a nice local option that went well with the hearty dishes.

Stayed upstairs for a night. The room was comfortable, but the real highlight was the shower—great water pressure and it felt so modern in a room with lovely old beams. Price was fair for the area.

The Portuguese tarts here are spot on. The pastry is flaky, and the custard filling has that perfect, slightly caramelised top. A really nice little treat with a coffee. Staff are always polite, makes it a comfortable spot to pop in on your own.

The staff were very friendly and found us a high chair for our baby. The food was pretty good, a decent meal overall. It was a bit noisy in the dining room, but that's to be expected with a family place.

Generous portions, especially the jacket potatoes. My steak was cooked just right, and the house red was a solid match for it. Good value for the amount you get.

Been coming here for years, it's a proper local spot. The brunch is always fresh, no fuss. They know how to make a good coffee, which is the main thing.

The pizzas here are really tasty and the prices are spot on for what you get. It's a relaxed place for a straightforward, filling meal. My only note is that the chairs are a bit basic for a longer sit, but for a quick bite it's just fine.

Been here a few times. The food's always solid, and the team are really nice. It's my go-to when I just want a dependable burger and a pint without any fuss.

Nice twist on the menu compared to their other spot. Tried a couple of the new dishes, really good. Felt a bit hurried when we first sat down, but the food was spot on.

Lovely spot for a break. The homemade carrot cake was really nice, still warm from the oven. Had it with a proper flat white while watching the boats. A bit pricey for the slice, but the view made it.

Nice spot for cyclists. The coffee's good, and the homemade cakes are lovely. It's never too packed, so you can actually relax.

A decent spot for a meal with the dogs. The staff were fine with them, and a few other patrons said hello. Food was pretty good, though the outdoor seating area could use a bit of a tidy.

The seasonal menu keeps things fresh, and the ingredients are top-notch. A nice glass of white wine really complements the flavours.

The croissant with ham and cheese was spot on. Good spot for a bite with a view of the market upstairs.

Been coming here for years, and the BYOB policy is a big reason why. No corkage fee, and they've always got glasses ready for you. Makes a casual dinner out feel that much more relaxed.

Been staying here for years. It's a handy spot for a quick stroll into town, which is why I keep coming back. The rooms are nicely done up, comfortable without being fussy. Managers are always helpful.

The steak and ale pie was so good! You could tell it was homemade. Perfect for a catch-up with mates, we were there for ages just chatting. Portions are decent for the price.

good coffee, good Wi-Fi, tables are spread out nicely for social distancing

Breakfast wraps are solid. Got the medium size, more than enough for a quick bite. Good portion for the price. Quick service during the morning rush.
