七彩屏位于张掖丹霞景区的三景区，岩层犹如远来的孔雀。彩色丘陵以层理交错，岩壁陡峭，气势磅礴，造型奇特，色彩斑斓而称奇，有极强的观赏性。这里的丹霞地貌发育于距今约200万年的前侏罗纪至第三纪，是漫长历史时期地壳运动的产物，是大自然鬼斧神工的杰作。

七彩屏位于张掖丹霞公园内，是景区的核心浏览区，这是一片色彩斑斓的山体，给人一种气势恢宏的感觉。在夕阳西下，雨过天晴的时侯会发出自己的光芒，色彩相邻而不相交，呈现出七彩飞霞的景象。

七彩屏是在七彩丹霞的2号观景台内，这里的景点有夕晖归凡，睡美人，七彩屏。远远看过去很大一片的斜坡，斜坡上都有几种不同的颜色，黄色，褐色，橙色，这些便是单斜山结构，这里主要都是由斜山和单斜群峰组成的，经过长年累月的风化而形成的。
