The Lena Palace is the residence of today's Lower Saxony Parliament and the former king's residence, dating back to the 12th century Franciscana Monastery, which was demolished in 1533. The northwest wing of the palace was renovated in 1742 after being chosen as a residence by Duke Karenberg of Hanover in 1636. The rest came from the designs of George Friedrich Ralph, a very active architect in Hanover who completely rebuilt the palace between 1816 and 1844. The Palace also has huge colonnades on Lena Street, six Corinthian stone pillars and a flat triangular gable with the state emblem of Lower Saxony. The three-storey building and folded roof of a palace on Lena Street are Baroque. In 1943, the Lena Palace was completely burnt down, with only a few pillars unspoiled. After the reconstruction, the modern plenary hall was built in the destroyed side rooms.

The Lena River is not wide, there are small iron bridges from time to time, small stone bridges across the river, one side is the classical castle, European-style architecture, according to the sense of history, visitors are not many, but exquisite, each step is a scene, as long as good at discovery.
